We ordered the short ribs with grits and the special; fresh salmon, scallops with potatoes. Our food was delicious. We called a few minutes before arriving and the hostess had our table prepared for us and our four kids. I personally am not a fan of the duck fries, I prefer my fries more crunchy but my husband and kids enjoyed them, my 8 month old son really liked the parmesan cheese. The burgers my kids had were also delicious. It’s clear that the chef and employees take pride in their work and pay great attention to detail. The hostess was very attentive and personable, I was impressed with how engaged he is with the customers and goes above and beyond to ensure everyone is comfortable and taken care of. I really enjoyed our dinner here, I wish I would’ve ate here sooner! Make sure to ask your server if they have any specials that aren’t listed on the menu. Unfortunately we are leaving Alaska in a week but we will eat here again before leaving because the food and experience was so impressive. The reviews don’t do this restaurant justice, it’s definitely worth a try, I’m glad we dined here and has delicious leftovers to enjoy the next night.

Straight to the point: one star reduction because my steak was overcooked. I know. That’s pity. But there is just not much to find wrong with this cozy, inviting, and delicious restaurant.

Great place for brews. Friendly staff, great apps and looked like good food overall. We had the smoked salmon, delicious. Fried pork belly looked awesome but we were stuffed after sharing salmon. Fish and chips looked good, and large. It’s between the cruise hotels and anchorage museum (which is also awesome). It was crossed but not like the other venues across from the cruise hotels.

We liked it so much the first time, we are here again later in our trip. The first time, we all got burgers, which were fine, although the buns were a little dry. The second time we got some of the entrees. I had the meatloaf and mash, and it was fantastic! Others with me had the gold rush cheese steak, short rib shrimp and grits, and Nashville chicken sandwich, and everyone was happy. If you get fries, I recommend the parmesan truffle. Great beer selection, too!

Great burger and truffle fries! The artichoke scallop dip was good too, strangely reminded me of egg salad a little. It tasted like it needed to be mixed for longer but was really good anyway.

Visiting from FL – hands down the best dining experience my husband and I have had in a long time. Lovely staff and great food. Local beers rotate on tap and specials highlight local ingredients. This is exactly what we were looking for to represent Alaska.

We went here a couple days ago and on first appearance, the atmosphere was really nice! Then we got seated upstairs where there are almost no decorations and the windows weren’t sealed properly and were letting the wind in. Overall, very unwelcoming appearance. We ordered the salmon dip and pita bread appetizer and it came out 20 minutes later. It was really good, one of the best salmon dips I’ve had at a restaurant. About 30 minutes later, our burgers came out. I got the Anchorage burger and my partner got the Downtown burger. Both of our patties were flavorless. The bacon was really good and made it a bit better, but when ordering a burger I usually expect the patty to be the star. The fries were alright.

I was specifically looking for some Alaskan chowder for lunch and chose this place. The soup was amazing and the fries good. Nice atmosphere and service, about 2/3 full at noon on a Wednesday, i walked around 15 minutes from ordering to fit served. I would recommended trying this place.

Short Rib Shrimp and Grits with a side of duck fat fries…I love all those things and this dish didn’t disappoint. Everything was flavorful, tender, and just plain delicious. Will be my goto every time I’m in AK!
