The food was good but not for what they charge and the portion sizes were tiny. Our quail risotto was 48 dollars ans was only sub par. The waiter was very nice. I liked it but for those prices I’d rather go to Fore street. We are happy we tried it but won’t be going back.

Birthday celebration. Service was perfect. Timing and genuine care for a dining experience. Dishes very thought out, delicious and fresh. Pasta was amazing (not shown).

We had a very lovely experience dinning here on our first night in Portland. This restaurant does a very good job at bridging the gap between seafood/fish and classic Italian dishes. We ordered the tuna carbonara which is the first time I have seen this type of dish be made and it did not let me down. The appetizers and desert were also very good. I was hesitant about dining here due to the price being comparable or more than typical NYC restaurants but I saw the owner of the restaurant reply to a review saying that their high prices come from paying their employees a fair wage and that is always something I can get behind.

Had an amazing dinner here for the first time. Some of the best service I’ve had in Portland. Fresh, open atmosphere with a great variety on menu. Staff were very accommodating to allergies and made sure everyone at table knew what they could eat and not. + a great wine list. Favorite dish was the Burrata/focaccia appetizer. We will be back!

Visiting from Canada, we want to share our experience about Solo Italiano. Walking on Commercial St. and seeing the Italian restaurant, we walked in and it was full and the reception told us that they won’t be available till 8:45 pm. So discussed amongst ourselves that it was too late, however we mentioned among ourselves that we will be back tomorrow and probably reserve ahead of time. The receptionist on hearing our conversation, immediately told us that there is no availability for tomorrow.

We had a great experience here. The hostess seated us right away. Our waitress was terrific… friendly, helpful and attentive. The menu offers a variety of options to choose from. There’s pastas, poultry and seafood. A nice wine list and a full bar. Both of our meals were delicious and we had a really good dessert. There’s both restaurant seating and bar seating. It’s popular so I’d recommend making a reservation. It’s very easy to get to as it’s in walking distance from most places and there’s street parking.

Great food! Amazing service! Very pleasant atmosphere! I really enjoyed my dinner here. Chef is from Italy and the menu is authentic. Risotto was outstanding. Also Tiramisu. Highly recommend this place.

Best high end Italian restaurant in Portland! It is expensive but the food is top quality, drinks are flavorful and creative, and the atmosphere is wonderful. This is a great spot for date nights or impressing out of town guests.

We got the tuna tartare, arancino, butternut squash salad, pansotti with ricotta and spinach, bolognese, panna cotta and tiramisu. The food was good but the desserts stole the show. We had to get two and will definitely be going back if for nothing else but to try all their desserts. Kudos to the pastry chef!

Service is nice and quality of food is good. I enjoyed the fresh scallop crudo but the beet salad was overly sour and almost inedible. The best dish was actually the prosciutto and focaccia appetizer. My friends enjoyed their scallop, ribeye, and ravioli. The desserts were passable—tiramisu was good heavy on the biscuit side and the cookie platter was forgettable
