This place was wonderful! We went at 3:00 p.m. and we were the only people there. I totally recommend that time of day. I got the brown sugar crusted salmon and it was amazing. And a dessert, whiskey chocolate cake was amazing.

Absolutely love this place! From the chili and lobster pasta to the jambalaya everything was super flavorful hot and delicious. Our server was so polite so professional we felt like we had known her for ever. This is a distance from where we live but definitely would be worth a trip back.

Nice enough place. My burger was kinda dry and average. It was ok, I might go back maybe get something else and see how I like that. Service was good. And I liked the fireplace while we ate.

First visit here. Warm and cozy atmosphere. Had the walleye and it was a generous portion and very good.

My favorite was the cozy atmosphere. We went here to catch up with old friends. Such a wonderful, casual place to come on a January night! Food was good (and just want to more they no longer have the Cobb salad available). They have a wide variety of seafood, too.

Portions were small, rice pilaf was actually just steamed white rice that was dry with No flavor. There were 3 of us and none of us was pleased with what we received. Will not return. Fried walleye dinner was $22 for one small fillet and a scoop of white rice.

We have never had a bad meal or experience at this establishment. The service can’t be beat. Waitstaff is always pleasant, no matter how crazy they get. The food is ALWAYS fabulous! I had the walleye tonight and OMG!! Soooo good! Props to the chef! Mary Ann is your barmaid, and she is the best! Always attentive with a genuine smile. Highly recommend.

Refused to serve or seat us because we were a group of 5 because they were short staffed. The place was practically empty at 5 on a Saturday.

Pretty disappointed after reading the great reviews. Ordered the chicken sandwich with balsamic slaw and fries. Not exactly sure how it was even cooked. No grill or sear marks, no color. Not seasoned at all very bland flavorless chicken breast. Slaw was basic, just shredded cabbage coated with a less than impressive thin balsamic dressing. The seasoned fries were the best part of the dish but the portion was upsetting. Maybe 8-10 fries. Same kinda deal for my fiancee, he ordered a medium rare burger with fries. Supposedly “fresh ground” daily. Burger was unseasoned, not even salt and pepper. He said it was very dry for being cooked the way he requested. Pretty basic burger, hardly any fries.

Due to the rudeness of the owners of the Old Stone, we will never return to this restaurant.
