Great new spot to enjoy while you are at Folly Beach, very new staff but off to a great start. I’ve seen some reviews on the chip spice being too hot, it was zesty but if you do not like spice ask for plain chips. The food was great, rooftop seating for us tonight, and cold beer. Again July 2023 and the doors just opened so give Coconut Joe’s a shot, let the staff warm up to the hustle. Sit back and enjoy. Ohhhh, and they have an arcade if you find yourself “especially with kids” waiting for a table.

4 of us came in around 9 pm, they close at 1000 pm. The arcade upstairs lured us in as well as the name of the place. Drinks and an appetizer and entrees for 4 adults cost us $150, not including a tip. Great selection of games upstairs, but no quarters in change machines. However, lots of the games take single dollar bills.

Our group of four was seated promptly in the cool patio. The food was amazing. The grilled grouper and shrimp was so flavorful and the sides were great too. The waitress recommended the pina colada’s and though different, they were the best I’ve ever tasted. Not too sweet and very natural tasting. Our server was fantastic!

Bartender was great, he kept our drinks full and was very nice. I got the chicken wings the were way way over cooked and had almost no sauce on them at all, the grouper was on point.I did take a picture of the worlds smallest chicken wing.

The reason for my two star review is the manager we had this evening. I took my ten year old son there to celebrate, and during our visit, his primary request was to play some of the games upstairs. After paying for air hockey, we quickly realized that something was affecting the game. There was a substance all over the table that prevented the puck from sliding freely. This was pretty frustrating, but not a giant deal. I soon recieved a call from my wife, stating the food was ready. We decided to abandon the game due to the difficulties we were having trying to move the puck. Still not a huge deal.
