I am OBSESSED with this place. Never have I ever seen a place so adorable. The epitome of small-town quaint, this is the place you take your NYC friends who came in for the weekend to see the foliage or pick strawberries. Solid beer and wine offerings and a menu that is inspiring without being stuffy. The catfish tacos were perfectly portioned and deliciously executed. My partner’s Greek salad with fish made me crane my neck to get a glimpse. She said it was excellent but selfishly did not offer me a bite. The chocolate pot-de-creme was grainy, however. The cream must not have been hot enough, so the texture was off. Disappointing, but not a spoiler. I will be back often!

Such a gem of a restaurant. Food is absolutely incredible, cocktails and wine phenomenal, staff are so wonderful. Throw your expectations away and allow yourself to enjoy the journey! Well worth the trip.

What a wonderful place! I absolutely loved it here. Great food lots of drink options if you’re coming for the bar. Tavern is very pretty and very nicely decorated. Food is all organic and fresh. And the best part is the service. The people here are amazing as soon as you walk through that door you feel so welcomed. Waiters ,cook, owner ect… everything thing here and the experience you’ll get is amazing. Will keep returning!

The Gill Tavern is beautifully situated in a tiny New England town–Gill, Massachusetts–set among rolling hills and fields and forests. The service was excellent, great wine and drinks list, creative menu without stretching beyond good sense. We sat outside on a beautiful June evening. Could not have been more perfect.

I, along with two companions, recently had dinner at the Gill Tavern on a warm spring evening. Located way-y-y out in the country, fairly isolated with no other commercial establishments within miles, this has to be considered a destination restaurant. It’s not someplace you’re likely to casually come across while out window shopping downtown, although with the Northfield Mount Hermon prep school up the road it probably does a good business catering to the students’ visiting parents.

My wife and I went there this past Saturday for dinner with our 11 month old son and met our friends. The 35 minute drive was most definitely worth it. From the time we walked in the door we had an amazing experience. They were extremely accommodating to our son. Walker (staff) was extremely nice and went above and beyond for us along with whom I assume was the owner or manager. The food and drinks were extremely good. We have found or new “spot”. Everything was extremely tasty, fresh and a great presentation. It’s worth the money!

A delightful, delicious experience. Fresh, creative dishes paired with excellent service and charming ambience. Start to finish, we had an exceptional meal. My partner and I spontaneously decided to dine out after a long drive, it was 4PM and every place we wanted to go was closed until 5PM (fair enough but we didn’t want to wait).

It was great to re-experience, mid-September, al fresco, the warm hospitality, delicious victuals and merry libations at the re-opened Gill Tavern in Gill, MA, after months of deprivation. All of us were cautious, both staff and guests, as the pandemic still lurks aggressively awaiting lapses in judgment. Long live The Gill Tavern!
