The pulled pork sandwich was good the portions were small and the prices were high but that’s not uncommon for a bbq place. My overall impression is favorable I believe that they could use additional help perhaps a dedicated counter person but it is still not uncommon for a BBQ stand by 1 person that is obviously what the Bell is for music selection contributed to the atmosphere the hardwood smoke from the smoker is real judging by the the smell of the smoke in my clothes and my hair overall there is nothing that distinguishes Spilley from any place. Nothing unusual no hook no lost leader nothing really special

Wow… Big difference from the last owners! Delicious, Moist smokey BBQ. Food was great, coleslaw was good but, I prefer mine a little sweeter. Sides are very good size and portions good. Atmosphere everything you would expect for a BBQ restaurant… Chopped wood, rustic feel only downfall, it was freezing inside on a cold day.

I will start off by saying this place is way better than the BBQ place that was here before (Area 51). I gave this a 3 star because the only thing I ate was a pulled pork sandwich. The pork was a little on the dry side and I had to use a lot of sauce. But the flavor was good. The corn bread is yummy and the coleslaw needs some improving, it just had no taste. The prices seem reasonable and I will definitely try them again. I LOVE the competition up the road but sometimes you want something different. I hope they can supply that alternative choice for good BBQ in the south hills. Time will tell.

After a long weekend we decided to go for a quick bite to eat. I wanted REAL food. Not happy with some other local BBQ places I passed it on my way home so we decided to try it. We walked in the place is so cute! They even have some outdoor picnic tables. It smelled so good! The gentleman working was super friendly and sweet. The food was Amazing and a LOT of it. It was so delicious and reasonably priced. My husbad a big guy got the bigger meal and he actually brought some home and a half rack of ribs for later. I would definately give them a try! I had the chicken, mac and cheese, cornbread coleslaw all was really good. Wil definately be back.

Excellent Ribs! I ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs. They were tender , good flavor and nice bark! Spillys serves a generous portion and reasonably priced. I just wish they offered more sides.

Awesome pulled pork sandwich, great corn bread. Only bad thing I can think of is that it was a little hot in there and it wasn’t even the hot season! All in all though will definitely stop back when I’m in the area and have recommended to many friends!

Solid corn muffins. BBQ sauce was a nice, simple tomato/vinegar/pepper. The ribs were spectacular. Fall-off-the-bone tenderness and a great dry rub.

First time here. My husband and I shared the combo plate with brisket & shredded pork with meat beans and mac, and the 3-slider sandwiches with slaw. All very delicious! The little cornbread muffin was tasty, I loved the spice to it. The BBQ sauce is sweet. The brisket was amazing. We’ll definitely be eating here again. We had a taste for BBQ and it got the spot.

I have had the pulled pork and the brisket – both were great! Much better than down the road. The sauce has a mellow vinegar taste that is unique. Coleslaw and baked beans were good but nothing special. Staff has always been extremely friendly. Give them a try.

I am so glad my husband and I finally tried this hidden gem. We got the pulled pork sandwich with a side of cornbread and mac and cheese. The food was ready quickly and was fantastic. Some of the best BBQ we’ve ever had. We really liked the atmosphere of blues music and the wonderful smell of burning wood from the smoker. Recommend everyone giving this place a try when they are on route 51.
