It was my first time here today, and I think I should’ve come sooner. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere definitely had good vibes to it. I ordered the Jerk Chicken Plate and took it home for lunch. The first thing that got my attention was the amount of rice there was. Usually rice is a side that comes in a smaller quantity, but I absolutely loved the taste of it! It’s a 10/10 on its own and I loved it even more with the sauce that comes with the plate. The sauce has a spicy bbq taste to it, and it doesn’t have a thick viscosity either; which is to my liking. I also used it with the chicken and the taste was really good too. I really liked the seasoning and texture that the chicken had. The chicken itself was so soft that it came right off the bone without effort. The amount of chicken that’s in the plate might not be satisfying for others, but for me I think it was enough. The rice and vegetables both had a really good taste to them, so I’d be disappointed if they put less of that to make room for more chicken. I payed about $18 for the plate and a can of Sprite, and honestly I think it’s worth it. I’m very satisfied to know that I got my money’s worth because overall the quality was really great.

Wow! What a burst of flavor! Everything we had was delicious. We decided to get a variety. Our favorite was the oxtail! It was so tender and flavorful. Next favorite, the beef patties! They had this flakiness to outside breading and the meat inside was flavored so deliciously. Hubs, got the crab cakes and said they were totally worth the price. Seriously, everything we had was good: jerk chicken plate, curry chicken, the plantains, the side of cabbage, the rice and peas. We can’t wait to try the goat curry, so we’ll definitely be back! If you’re looking for some variety, you have to try this place!

My first time and I am so pleased to know that the Valley finally has something more to offer other than just Mexican food….no hate… I love Mexican food, but c’mon we need more variety. Loved my oxtails dish, well worth the price….somebody complained in their review about it being 80% rice…I love that they’re not stingy on the rice and beans. Save some for later, don’t complain about it! Lol. I’ll be coming back next week for the jerk chicken .

We tried ordering for a group at work on their website as the door dash had a lot of extra charges. We got a call from them saying they didn’t get out order over 40 min after placing the order but they had my phone number from the person who would deliver it. I was then asked to call their third person service they use for online orders for them to sort it out. I was then hung up on. I then received a call from another number about the order, after the customer service we recieved we decided to just cancel the order. We were charged for the order they apparently never got as well and are hopeful for a refund. Our staff really wanted to try the food so we then ordered verbally over the phone and sent someone ourselves to pick it up. When they went we were then short changed as they didn’t have enough money. Food was fine, but a lot of the menu items were not available. Based on the service we won’t order from them again

Mac & Cheese was Kraft, Sauce was WEAK, Chicken was Pink, Cashier was a Bissh, out of Everything, finally had the 3rd thing I ordered and forgot to give me the drinks I paid for 0/5. Waste of $$ roach filled building. These people giving 5 stars got low low standards never been out.

If you want legit Jerk chicken then this is place to get that fix. I order out here weekly and its always on point. Everything on the menu is whipped up fresh, if you are ever in the mood for something different in mcallen then give Jamaican jerk stop a shot, I reccomend it
