We were in town for a wedding. Stopped in for some BBQ with the gf and her mother. Was really looking for ribs but they didn’t have any that day. The meat was delicious with the home made sauces. otherwise it’s prepared smoked meat. The cobbler swayed our decision to come here versius the other place in town. It wasn’t peach season so the cobbler was firm not so tender peach pieces.

Loved it. Some of the best I’ve had. It was slow at 11am. So we had great service. I loved the NC viniger sauce. They have plenty more to choose from. Fries were different than other places. Very crispy and zesty.

Sat at the bar and noticed shelves full of BBQ festival and contest awards on the wall. Figured that must be a good sign. I ordered a brisket plate with beans and mac & cheese sides. The brisket was well-prepared and tasted amazing. The sides were both good and exactly what I was hoping for. I tried all six sauces that were provided with the meal and was impressed with at least half of them. Good service, pleasant atmosphere, reasonable prices, delicious food. Those awards must be legit.

I tried to order a pound of sliced brisket and they told me they didn’t have enough so I ordered a plate instead and that’s what they gave me a piece of meat that is almost half fat. I don’t know what that is. The Mac and cheese was absolutely disgusting, did not taste like Mac and cheese I don’t know what the h*** it was. The only thing that tasted remotely good was the fries congratulations you all know how to fry fries. Plus it’s a Saturday, like seriously!! The best part is the customer that ordered behind me ordered a sliced brisket sandwich. I guess my money wasn’t good enough. Poor excuse for a business

Ordered pick-up from Uber. 1st they got the order wrong. Then the manager was extremely rude with my wife. After all that. The fries were nasty.The grease was so old my home smelled like old grease for more than an hour after I took out the trash. That’s exactly where all that food belonged. I wouldn’t feed this food to a dog! I don’t know who’s been giving 5 stars my guess it’s family. If you’re brave and have an iron stomach go for it!

A hidden gem! There’s two restaurants that survive attached to a gas station, fast food restaurants and good ones. This is the latter. I went to school at UNG and fell in love with this place. Anytime I visit, I make a point to visit. The best BBQ in North Georgia. Their white lightning bbq sauce is key. Nothing on the menu will disappoint.

So I never do these. But I have too. The only thing good about my experience was the sweet tea! Chicken was cold and had no flavor. Brisket was tasty but as you can see from the picture the portions were ridiculously to say the least. Literally 4 bites all together! For 15.99?? What a joke. With a sweet tea the total was 20. When a working man comes in for lunch you feed him!! Not starve him to death with toddler portions. SMH I won’t be back

This is my favorite place to eat, they might not always be open, but when they are it’s special! I’ve grown up here in dahlonega my whole life and I’ve had my fair share of barbecue and thus is by far the best!! The hickory fries are my favorite dish from anywhere!!

10 out of 10. I don’t care what anyone says. THEY ARE AWESOME!!! I have eaten wings all across the country, (Worked for Boeing as a Flight Engineer) and these were TOP 3 EASY !!! They smoke the wings than throw in the fryer for a quick Crisp. They are meaty wings too. Can’t speak good enough about them I had a couple other samples of their BBQ and Sides and all were beyond Great. Sat at the Bar… had a beer, chatted with the Bartender, and ate some great food. I will be back. Love that place. The owners are awesome people too. Had the pleasure to talk to the couple the 3rd time I went to grab a Beer after work. All in All. Great Place!!!
