We loved everything about this place! The service was great. We were so hungry we forgot to take pictures and once we started eating we couldn’t stop. I had the brisket sandwich with cucumber salad, mac & cheese and banana pudding. It was all wonderful! I also got to try a bite of the pecan pie and it was just as amazing as eveything else. You can really tell that they take pride in the ingredients they use and it shows. My husband had the ribs, pinto beans, baked beans and keylime pie. He said the pinto beans could win awards. So much love goes into this food and we will definitely be back. If you are thinking about it don’t, just do it. This is the place to go! Also, chefs good job and thank you for giving us your best we appreciate you.

We had been hearing about this barbecue joint in Kemp for the longest time. A great many people kept telling us that we should go there and how wonderful it was. We took it with a grain of salt and it was over a year before we finally tried it. All I can say is that I missed out on a years worth of some of the best BBQ I’ve ever eaten! Prices are very reasonable and the menu includes all the expected side dishes and some unexpected treats like old fashioned collard greens , twice baked potatoes and cabbage just to name a few and finish it all off with homemade pie. But the best part of our experience was the staff and owners. Our waitperson was amazing and Shannon who is one of the owners stopped and visited us and we had so much fun with her. If you like great BBQ served by down home good people this is the place. No big name over the door just slapping good BBQ.

I am from out of town, really out of town. Out of state, in fact. But I came to try the barbecue and I was not disappointed. The food was all fantastic, including the watermelon tea and the ridiculously delicious banana pudding at the end. And not only that, the staff was as nice as can be.

The owners are great. They treat you like family. Better than that is the food. Great brisket and ribs. This is the best BBQ around. I live in Athens and I will definitely go back for the food and service. Eat here and you will be glad you did.

When you think “Texas Barbecue” the first place that comes to mind is Slap N’ Good BBQ & Catering. The service is exceptional and provided by wonderful people. The food will have you shamelessly finger licking in front of people you’ve never seen before. You read that right. The food is so good, it will have you coming back just so you can show your friends your hidden “real southern barbecue” spot.

Great BBQ and great people. My wife and I stopped for dinner and were thrilled to find this place. The ribs fell off the bone and the brisket was delicious. All the sides were good in particular the corn on the cob which we ordered more of. Don’t miss the cornbread either. The most special part though was the family that owns the place. They not only know their Q but they are just wonderful people that the world does not have enough of.

We will definitely be back!!! Everything was so good but get there early before sides start selling out. Brisket and sausage were great. Ribs perfect! I’m not a believer in bbq sauce and the meat was so flavorful you definitely didn’t need it. Customer service was even better! Everyone was so welcoming and made sure we were taken care of the entire visit. Go support this small business!!

My family and I visited slapping good barbecues yesterday. The barbecue is top notch, my sons had the ribs. Which were lip smacking good. Literally!
