We were a group of 7 friends returning back home to Chicago after our annual ski trip. We were all hungry and decided to stop in for some pizza. We ordered an 18” of Sal’s Pepperoni Classic which we were able to order a free 12” inch cheese pizza with as well. The staff were all very nice and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. The pizza came out after 20 minutes and needless to say it didn’t take very long before we devoured them both. The crusts were crispy, toppings fresh, and cheese melted to perfection. Overall a wonderful service and delicious food!

Ordered the buffalo chicken and sals combo pizza, both came piping hot and looked great. Honestly they were two of the best pizzas we have had in sometime. The price was fair and the service was very good. If you are in the area and feel like a pizza stop you won’t be disappointed.

Pizzas R my kryptonite(Superman reference LOL.) and they have many varieties of Pizzas, Chicago style, thin and hand tossed. My favorite is there Mountain pizza. It has everything but anchovies which is ok cuz I prefer to not have fish on my pizza. They also have an assortment of Italian dishes to choose from. My favorite side are the jalapeño poppers.

No offense to Sals – it’s probably decent pizza. But I ordered it for the 1st time and was severely disappointed. We had kids sleepover and ordered a cheese and a pepperoni. The Cheese pizza didn’t resemble a cheese pizza in any way shape or form. A pile of dough caked/topped in some sort of red sauce. I guess we clicked the wrong button when ordering – no idea what that thing is. The pepperoni pizza didn’t appear to have any epperoni and then we later discovered it was under the cheese. The crust was like 6” high. Was not a pepperoni pizza.

Best pizza around! We order on our way and the hot pizza is at our table within minutes of arriving. The crust is not too thick and there are plenty of toppings. Lots of cheese too. Employees are friendly and helpful. I gave the atmosphere only 3 stars because the restaurant is a little no frills room with seating for about 20-22 people. It’s very clean. I think the majority of the orders are take out or delivery because there are drivers in and out continually so no need for a larger place. Prices are very reasonable also.

Sals is a great value. The daily pasta specials are huge and a great price. The chicken parmesan pasta was maybe 8 bucks, I could tell that they pounded out a fresh chicken breast in their kitchen and cooked it, no pre cooked frozen chicken. The chimichanga was also awesome, I had the chicken. The only way the chimmi could have been better would be a small lettuce and tomato salad on the side.
