Clueless! It’s actually laughable how unprepared the staff are here. We think they haul them over from the nursing home across the road. Truly an amazing exercise in ineptitude. Answer the phone then put you on hold. Forget you are there. Call back. Completely forget they even took the call. Place and order. Show up 25 minutes later – yep. Forgot to make the pizza. Happens often.

Pizza, chicken and jo-jo’s are really good! Don’t listen to the bad reviews because people only come on here to complain most of the time. My experience has always been great and this is some of the best pizza in this area in my opinion. I’ve tried pizza far and wide including New York City’s best so I know what I’m talking about. Everyone is always super friendly and my orders have always been correct.

I wish I could put 0 stars.. Not only did it take an hour and a half to get my food but when it finally arrived my food was cold and the subs were disgusting. The lettuce was brown and slimy with a nasty taste. When I called to let them know the person that answered the phone was VERY rude. When I asked her to hold for a moment to ask my coworker if he wanted something else she yelled” We have a complainer”…. then she hung up on me. I used to order here all the time and loved their food but this was the worst experience ever!

Doesn’t close till 9pm. Has chicken fryers off at 740pm. And refuses to serve in a time when restaurants are struggling blows my mind. I used to manage and work at the gioninos in Kent and that one is so much better in terms of customer service it isn’t even funny.

The worst pizza business in Akron. 1. they hang up when you call. 2. They do NOT DELIVER even when 1.5 miles away. 3. They tell you to call Valley store and they tell you to call Montrose and Valley does NOT deliver to same zip code ! 4. Owners and staff are rude and they know it and don’t care. 5. Don’t even waste your time trying oder on Grubb or Uber eats owners won’t allow it. Besides that the food is mediocre at best. Had great luck at other locations but run from the Montrose and Valley shops.

I ordered pizza, wings and garlic bread. Pizza and garlic bread were great. The boneless wings were still cold (frozen) and the container was so full of useless sauce, it spilled on my sister and continued to leak in the car on my seats. I have gone to this place for years at several of the locations and have never had such issues. Hoping it was just a new person or off night.

I have loved Gioninos for over 20 years. This location shouldn’t be allowed to use the name. Like everyone has said… Most locations are great, this one is terrible in every sense of the word. Half the time their phone doesn’t work. More than once we received rotten chicken and I kept hoping it was just a bad batch. Eventually I decided to only order pizza from them. That was until one day they messed up processing my card and tried to say we didn’t pay while I can easily see on my bank app the money was debited. Enter a 15 minute argument with “Management” at the end of which I I canceled the entire order. An hour later they finally agreed to refund my card. I wrote a bad review and I’ll never use this location again.
