Updated 9/28/2019: In Pittsburgh today to see The Lion King, and any Saturday I have a show…I’m at Yovi’s for lunch. The fully loaded dogs are the best in town. The owner is the nicest guy. Two dogs with fries and a bottled drink ran me $10. Fantastic deal. Eat here! Highly recommend this place!!!

Really cool one man operation. Food seems to be made to order as it is hot and fresh when you receive it, although the service is fast. The veggies on my Chicago dog were crisp and tasty, and the fries were fresh cut perfection. There is even a condiment bar where you can top your dogs and fries with little extras. This was my first time experiencing a Chicago style dog, and Yovi’s has definitely won me over!

This place tastes just like home to me! The staff welcome you right away, take your order and promptly deliver to your table. You don’t even get 5 minutes to enjoy the Chicago nostalgia before your food arrives – but let’s face it, you’re there for the deliciousness that will leave you speechless. This waa unbelievably good, and a true hidden gem in market square. The owner was SUPER friendly, and the restaurant itself has great decor of everything Cubs and Chicago memorabilia. I also really liked the jars of what they can for the chicago dog itself like the sports peppers, pickles, etc they were amazing and added that special touch. I will definitely come back some time soon!

I’m surprised this place doesn’t have a review yet. I work nearby and this is hands down my favourite lunch spot. The owner is very friendly and service is FAST even during peak lunchtime downtown. The food tastes great and is consistently good. You get a good amount of food for the price. They use great all beef hot dogs too. I really can’t say enough good things about this place. If you like hot dogs, you are doing yourself a disservice by not giving this place a try. Just don’t order your hot dog with ketchup for goodness sakes!

Yovi’s is one of Pittburgh’s best kept secret. The Chicago style beef hot dogs are just wonderful. In addition, the fresh cut fries are the best I ever had. Prices are very reasonable. The owner always cheerfully greets you and asks how you’ve been. Definitely a place to grab a quick bite
