This was my FIRST TIME eating at Checkers, and it was a total waste of time and money! We ordered the $5 meal, just to give it a try. The burgers were paper thin and they were burnt! I ate a few of the chicken nuggets, they were really hard. The fries were the best thing. We waited on our food for about 30 minutes. Finally, a gentleman came to us and asked what we had ordered and apologize for the wait. I thought that was a nice gesture. Personally, I will never waste

Decent food and prices were not expensive. However despite ordering through the mobile app 30 mins- 1 hr before and somehow I always still had to wait for 10-15 minutes before the food is ready (even for small order). Strawberry ice cream is always tasty and they have the best fast food french fries! The app also often have discounts and promos.

I loved this place as a kid in Goldsboro. I heard there was one in Durham and came here after work. I was so disappointed. The food was old and cold and I mean like out the freezer cold, plus the wait was long for no reason. I was the only one there. You need some grown ups that care about their job. Because this was not it. The only thing that was good was the soda and that’s no cap.

I just left checkers and I just want the owner to know he needs better people representing him and his restaurant the workers there is lazy she was very disrespectful and she don’t want to work. She told me that your business didn’t have any burgers she told me you didn’t have any fries she told me you didn’t have any drinks she told me that you didn’t have anything at the store so I don’t understand why the store is up and running if you don’t have any of the things that the customer needs I don’t know who she is but I definitely took a picture she was on her phone and the timestamp will be within the last five minutes because she was doing nothing. Very lazy. Very disrespectful young lady and I’m not happy with the service.

Based on the last 4 delivery experiences I have had with this location, I am rating 2 stars. Although the food I do receive is tasty, it is NEVER correct. I ordered tenders and received “chicken nuggets”, I ordered a Fanta and received a Mr Pibb. I ordered a large fry and received a medium. Previous orders have also been as such. Apparently if you order later than 9pm, the only cuisine available is boneless bites. Apologies for being a business owner that doesn’t get home until after 9pm.

I literally just left this location Saturday April 22 2023 around 9pm and I am so disappointed. I was excited to see a Checkers in NC until this one. They charged me for a #7 combo and then put the spicy chicken patty on it. I ordered a burger that was hanging out the wrap. I ordered the new Brookie desert and they didn’t have the the brownie so I wind up with soft serve ice cream. I ask if I can get a cheesecake sundae. They say we can’t add at the window. As a consumer I’d appreciate getting the food I pay for and not having to swipe my card multiple times. We got no receipt. Nothing on the menu indicated they were out of anything.

Throw the whole restaurant away! Customer service is horrible. No respect for the customers or the business. Visit the store at 10:30pm on a Saturday night and didn’t even get to order any food because the night shift manager and staff would not take orders at the drive thru or at the walk up window?? A staff member step out to smoke a cigarette and I asked was the restaurant closed and he said no. People in-line at drive thru upset and complaining about what was the problem. None of the employees were helping each other out. Staff outside taking smoke breaks at will. Everyone was moving slow like zombies. I sat in drive thru 15 minutes without anyone saying anything. I parked and went to walk up window and stand waiting for service 15 minutes as everyone on the inside just looked at me and kept walking. The staff could care less about the establishment or keeping a good name for Checkers restaurants. I have never experienced anything like this from a well known restaurant. I just left without ordering any food. Corporate office needs to come check on things before there staff causes shutdown.

I have visited thus location twice and both times were very disappointing. The first time I only ordered chocolate shakes that tasted like medicine. Tonight I visited there was only one vehicle in the driveway so I figured it would be a quick stop. I was very wrong in that thought. Both lanes were open so I pulled to the first speaker. I was asked to hold a moment. I patiently waited. another vehicle pulled in behind me. I continued to wait. A Ram truck pulled up to the open speaker after 10 min of waiting the guy proceeds to take the order of the Ram truck. Needless to say I drove another 7 min to cookout after not being services at all.

Checkers fries are the g.o.a.t.. I wish their burger selection was better. Well that and getting my order right. I asked for the #1 no mayo extra pickle. Yep drowned in mayo and definitely no extra pickles the cashier was super friendly. Place was like any other checkers.
