Great service. Good price. Had the Jack Daniels Burger. Absolutely one of the best I’ve had anywhere in a long time.

The food is good, if not very creative. It’s tough find a nice place to eat around Howard City given the size of the small villages and the sparse population. When I visit, I like coming here. I find 21 dollars for fish and chips to be a little over the top, though. I can pay a lot less than that in Detroit.

Out of the blue, they no longer offer ordering and payment over the phone. I was unable to order a gift card for a special occasion or place an order for the same special occasion to be picked up. The woman who answered the phone was unwilling to even try. She told me it would be too much hassle to delete the order if the computer had problems. It’s unfortunate because I used to think this was a great way to get gifts for friends in the Howard City area, and I’m a pretty good tipper for the convenience of the phone ordering.

Very disappointed on their supposedly best bloody mary bar. It was expensive and most of the condiments were gone. Asked if they were putting more out, said yes. Never happened. Our waitress ended up bringing us some to our table.

Since the new owners took over I don’t care to go there anymore. They took away all the perks like with the birthday dinner and gift certificate they used to have. Now it doesn’t have the same atmosphere as before. It made me feel like their interested only in your money. The prices prove that point.

February 14, 2016. We have been going here for years. Management decided to remodel during Valentines. Menu used to be all hand made food, now it’s your typical Gordon Foods reheated junk served at a high price. Used to be our favorite go to for nice food and service. Management made a very poor decision this time. It was nothing for the two of us to spend $100 on a meal and service and leave satisfied. This place isn’t any different than any other run of the mill bar/restaurant. We will be looking around for another special place to take our money. If your into average food and high prices this is the place for you. Looks like they are targeting a younger clientele with no taste or money to help support volume and low quality. It’s all about the bottom line and no care for the customer.

This used to be a good restaurant, but service, quality of food and pricing have slowly declined to the point of “unacceptable”! (We have been patronizing Latitudes over the past 20 years, but I think last night was our last time.) Although I cannot say for sure, it may have to do with several changes of ownership in the past few years. If that is the case, current management bears even more responsibility than some of the wait staff for the fiasco we encountered! (please note that I wrote “some” as there are a few excellent wait staff still present, but for how long?) In our case, we brought in 5 additional people whom had never eaten at Latitudes after telling them about how we thought it was unusual to have an establishment “of quality” attempting to be more “gourmet” or “upscale” in a small town environment. In the end, the waitress that we unfortunately had ruined dinner for all of us, made us look like fools after raising the expectations of our guests about what the experience would be like, and management made no attempt other than “sorry, come back again” to try to rectify the situation. Even though the restaurant was no more than 60% occupied when we entered (after making an advance reservation for 7 people) it took 35 minutes for all of us to get our drinks (they came a few at a time, not all together) and 80 minutes after being seated to get our meals. After we asked one of the other wait staff about the delay, we were advised that our food order had “only been put in 17 minutes ago” after watching other tables which had been seated after us get their meals, eat, and leave. Drink refills were handled even more sporadically (even though the dinner crowd had significantly “thinned out” by this time). In the end, the charges for the 3 separate groups were mixed up even though we had clearly advised the waitress that charges would be divided “two, two and three” and who the members of the groups were at the time of food order. We were approached by someone prior to leaving (manager, owner??) who giggled and said “I’m sorry”, but in the end offered no compensation even though members of our group all agreed that we thought that some comp had been implied during the conversation. Latitudes will now be “a place of last resort” for us. You can do much better in making a dining selection. Latitudes might be one place that you will want to “pass” on the next time you are planning dinner!

I just haven’t been satisfied with my two visits here. I had gone for a date the first time and the service was polite but they took far too long with our food. It was cold by the time it got to our table.

This used to be our favorite place to go after Burley park, but never again. We gave it 3 more chances since our first horrible visit last year. The service is so terrible, the food is overpriced, the bill is always wrong, and it’s always dirty. This Tuesday when we entered the bar the smell was so bad, the draft system was broken, this ac was only working in the bar area, and the bartender was the first to greet us bc our server was to busy talking (we were her only table). We left, and will never be back. Wish it was the same old latitudes.
