This was an amazing stop while I visited the state of North Carolina. The chopped pork sandwich was better than I could of imagined. The prices were also very reasonable. Service was fast and the girl working the counter was very friendly. Will definitely try and return here in the future.

This was a good place! It seems like lots of locals eat here. The prices are really great and the food some out fast (I think the fried chicken takes a while though but its fresh). I’ve lived in Texas so it wasn’t as good as Texas BBQ but it was still good. I’d recommend their pork and their spiced apples. The spiced apples in particular were one of my favorites. The hushpuppies were good too.

Good pork BBQ & excellent hushpuppies. Our daughter enjoyed the chicken tenders & fries (& hushpuppies of course). The spiced apples are especially delicious. My husband enjoyed the collards. Very casual place which is what I prefer. My only real complaint would be the Styrofoam plates bc they’re not very good for the environment. Otherwise, everything was great. Good service, good prices, good food!

Great food for the money. No frills place serving chicken and eastern style pork BBQ.

My husband and I visited for the first time tonight. The line of cars waiting for takeout along with the packed parking lot had us hoping we made a good choice.

I can only echo what everyone else has said. Fantastic North Carolina barbecue from a place that has been here forever. Out of the way but definitely worth the drive. Put it on your hit list if you are a barbecue connoisseur.

I order the pork and chicken combo and it was delicious, great flavor, the chicken was super juicy and tender, they offer rolls and hush puppies, both are great, you don’t need any bbq sauce to enjoy the meal. The beans are good and the corn is sweet. I have baked apples and banana pudding, personally I loved the apples, the pudding need more balance in the cookies-pudding ratio.

Easily one of the worst BBQ places I’ve ever had. No brisket, no sausage, no pulled option for the pork, and not even any BBQ sauce, lol. How is this a BBQ place exactly? The hush puppies and apple sides were good, everything else was mediocre or bad. I can only surmise that this place is popular because it’s cheap. Dickeys is miles better than this.
