We were in town on business and was looking for a place for lunch. We try to avoid the chain restaurants when traveling and usually look for something local and authentic. We definitely found that here! Service with a smile and that southern hospitality from the moment stepped up to the window. It was some of the best bbq we have ever had. The pitmaster has it down to a science we are in then fur a couple more days and already planning our next meal here again!

Ordered the pork nachos and chicken fries… I honestly hate the fact I had to share with my wife because they were more than delicious. The server Ashley was awesome. Her suggestions provided us with nachos like no other. I recommend EVERYONE try them then go tell 100 people because the world needs to be exposed to this kind of deliciousness. Awesome job guys. We’ll be back soon

Had a craving for ribs… Had driven past this pace several times… The good… Sauce had good flavor… Personal preference is ribs falling off bone… These were not that. Not a whole lot of meat. Got 3 ribs… Another 4 or 5 would have better… Beans tasted like doctored up pork and beans… Not really bad… Just wasn’t what I was doing expecting. Cole Slaw was good.. but I like more carrot in mine… For what i spent next time I buy a rack of ribs at the the grocery and do them myself in the instant pot Santa brought me… 30 mins or so and be much more to my liking.

A year ago today. May 19th. Me and wife had bar b que sandwiches there. We are from Virginia and I told owner there that takes a excellent sandwich to beat ours back in Virginia. No joke! It tasted just like home. Excellent taste. We are back in town. Looking forward to seeing y’all tomorrow. Friday. Told y’all I be back. Y’all will be first place I grab a sandwich. Of course. Bar b que. thumbs up and 5 plus stars.

I was in Attalla/Gadsden for a couple of days and I have to say it is worth the trip over from Gadsden for Southern BBQ Co. I had a large brisket sandwich and onion rings. Being from a big BBQ town, this is going against the grain, but I prefer this style. It was extremely tender and fatty. Compared to brisket in Kansas City, as an example, there is much less chew. This brisket just melts in your mouth. Not everyone will prefer this style, but the alternative in the area was essentially pot roast with some really awful sauce on it. Speaking of the sauce, it is one of the best I’ve ever had. I don’t want the sauce to overpower the meat, and this sauce is just a perfect compliment to that fatty beef, not either too sweet or too tangy. Also they don’t do anything fancy with the bun. This is just straight-forward, good old southern bbq. If you are an onion ring fanatic like me, these were a real treat. They are large, meaty, fresh cut rings. Really glad there is good bbq in this area. Whenever I am back here Southern BBQ Co. is must stop.

I gave this restaurant 5 stars just based on 2 lbs of meat, carry-out. The pulled pork is very good, but the smoked chopped chicken was most likely the best I’ve had. Moist, just enough smokey flavor, seasoned well. Contrary to another review, the pork was very lean, in fact, if there were a negative, it may have been a little too lean. Pulled pork gets a lot of flavor from fat marbling. It was good, however. I look forward to trying the sides. Vinegar slaw, mac and cheese, beans, potato salad. Next time!! Friendly service, clean restaurant.

This used to be our favorite barbecue place in the area. Not after we went for our most recent visit. We ordered a large pork sandwich and pork potato. It cost more and we thought they forgot to put meat on our order. It was more bread and sauce over meat. Same for the potato. We will start looking for a new place for our barbecue!

I went and placed an order & it ended up being over$35 and I ordered inside meat on the sandwiches and paid extra for that, then when I got it home it was wrong. The sandwiches had all kinds of the burnt outside “bark” and fatty meat. Then after we eat what we could of it, it made us sick so ended up throwing the rest of it in the trash. I called and they said they would refund my money so I’m waiting on that.

I will never go back. This is the third time I have tried to eat at this restaurant. The first time I had a bbq sandwich that had more fat in it than meat but I tried it again anyway. I brought home a pound of meat for my family and once again there was more fat chunks than meat I felt as if I got ripped off. This time we bought the large cheeseburger. Huge mistake!! There is a tiny hamburger patty in a huge bun that is stale with way too much mustard. The burger itself has absolutely no flavor.
