This spot is just across the river in Louisiana. It is decorated with old photos of what I assume is Logansport. This is my second favorite restaurant in Louisiana. The waitresses are very attentive. The food is very fresh and extremely flavorful. I’ve not found any dish I haven’t enjoyed. I’m very fond of the fried shrimp.

Stopped by heading home from a College visit from NSU in Natchitoches LA for my son and was blown away with service and food. My son was skeptical to try the Alligator Eggs but after convincing him to try them he LOVED them. My Blackened Catfish with Crab cakes was best I’ve had to date. I would travel those 2 1/2 hours any day just to eat there in Logansport. I reside in East Texas

Nice place. Food was excellent but you need to plan on waiting as it’s fresh. Big plus was it was hot, including fries. My water glass was empty and didn’t get refilled which would have been nice.

Cool restaurant! Loved the old building. Great service! The food was delicious! I believe big Zach made sure everything tasted great – even the sides were amazing. We had the ribeye, grilled veggies, okra, green beans, catfish pontchartrain (so good!) seafood platter, alligator eggs, and onion slides.

First time there. Read an article about this awesome place on line. What an awesome place! The food and the waitress was absolutely fantastic. Will be returning again. Husband got fried shrimp and fish and I got the blackened fish and crabcakes. Soooo good!!!

My mother and I decided to venture out one evening to Logansport to try one of their local restaurants we had read about online. The restaurant we had initially chosen was closed, and we later found out it was under new management and making changes. There was another restaurant in our sights, so we headed over there to Big Zach’s Place, where we found a delightful atmosphere, wonderful menu choices, a friendly owner and staff, and diners who were “regulars” and very well-versed on all the great food choices. We were guided to choose the Fettuccine with Pontchartrain sauce, a great Cajun alternative to Alfredo sauce, which is always my mother’s first choice, and she absolutely loved this one! I had a taste of hers, and I was in total agreement! You rarely find a restaurant that serves homemade fries. Theirs are delish! So are the sweet potato fries, by the way! The seafood is also on point! We will definitely make the drive to Big Zach’s Place again and try their other menu options. You should, too!

Tried Zach’s out after a few hours of kayaking. I had the fried catfish and alligator eggs. Both were very good. Catfish was nice and crunchy. The place was very busy, so service was slow. The staff were really nice though and made it a pleasant experience. They also had retro candies from when I was little like candy cigarettes. I hadn’t seen those things in years. I would def go back to try some other menu items.

We had the fried tomatoes and the fried fish. It was AMAZING!! Delaney was our waitress and she was wonderful. Every time I have gone in i somehow end up with her as my waitress and she does a great job EVERY TIME. Now I go in if she’s working I request her section. Great job Zack! Love the atmosphere and food!!
