So I stopped by Sammy’s to give their breakfast a shot. This was the 2nd time I tried there breakfast. The first time they were out of things. I thought I’d give them another shot. I ordered sausage eggs and hash browns. When I got to the window I told them I wanted over medium eggs, and I heard the cook say, I already broke the yolks. I said well make me two more. When they gave mey breakfast, they said, that will be 2 more dollars for the 2 eggs they broke.

Now THIS ! Is my idea of a breakfast burger . Super hot and wrapped with a grilled bun so my hot eggs don’t make my bread soggy. The owners of this place are pretty legit . They provide lots of services and try and keep it in the family. But hands down when it comes to price and quality for a quick breakfast . Sammy’s Burgers and shakes a legit lil business. Highly recommended . I was a head cook for Olive Garden for years as well as black butte ranch . I’m comparing there skills and quality. Yes . I jus did that.

I have gone to Sammy’s a lot because their the only people open with burgers after 12 that I know of. The food there can be awesome. The problem is you have to get lucky, a lot of times fries are not cooked but sometimes your lucky and they are. I always get there bacon burger and it’s a 50 50 chance it’ll be good, sometimes the bacon is cooked other times it’s rubber, also the last time I went i got 3 burgers and all of them were dripping with sauce and the buns were literally soked in sauce so i had to take a napkin and whipe it all off. The people there have always been kind to me but yes sometimes I worry when I see that there’s no gloves, or hair nets. Their milkshakes I have almoast always liked, only once or twice has the milkshakes tasted weird and watery. Other times they taste amazing. The wait there is usually 10-30 minutes but it’s worth it in my opinion. Over all Sammy’s has the chance to be a 5/5 with some practice and gloves/hair nets but right now it’s a 2 or 3.

Having read some of the reviews, we were a little nervous to try Sammy’s but, there are always kinks to work out when opening a new anything so, we gave them a few weeks then gave them a shot. There were 5 people in front of us when we got in line and it took 30 minutes from then until we left. I didn’t think that was bad at all, we weren’t in a hurry though.

Since they have opened the taste of the burgers just isn’t the same and I waited to give my review just to see if maybe they would switch back but sadly, no. I haven’t tried any of the breakfast items so I cannot vouch for those but I have tried quite a few different things. The chicken sandwiches are chicken patty like with a reminder of the school lunches we had a kids. The cheesesteaks are very messy and just not what you expect to get when you order it. The fries are always good, as well as the shakes and fried twinkies. Fried pickles could definitely use some more tweaking for the breading and slicing as they always seem to be more dough than pickle. Elephant tails are more so bread consistency than funnel cake like. Pretzel bites seem to be cooked in the same fryer as the sweet stuff so they have a sweet taste to them. Chicken tenders are decent but from what others are saying it seems it can be a hit or miss with the cooking time being right. I try to be fair to every place I leave a review for and I’ve waited until they’ve opened until now. Just critique.

I’ve been to Sammy’s five times now.. first time for milkshakes for the family, every milk shake was correct but all had a weird tangy taste like the ice cream went bad.. oldest kid finished his and didn’t get sick, so I’m not sure what was up with that. Other times got milkshakes and they were great.

There was one person working, they didn’t have anything we wanted and we kept having to change our order, we were there for an hour and food was inedible. It all just looked and smelled bad and some of it didn’t even look fully cooked. Waste of time and money. The girl working also the while rime I could hear her yelling and screaming inside. Felt I like it shouldn’t have been a restaurant. And didn’t look clean. Won’t ever go again.

People are nice and easy to talk to. Shakes can be a little lacking on flavor but they are decent. They mess up orders sometimes though. The last 2 times I went there they have messed up a simple order of fries and they are pretty nasty. The seasoned fries are delicious but when the shake boy gets the order wrong it is very annoying. The fries that I have received have not been seasoned at all and they taste nasty. Not the best place in town to eat but if you want a decent meal for cheap then go for it.
