From the ambiance to the staff and especially to the food, I could not imagine a better experience than DesiGalli. I love Indian food but as a South Asian, I can be incredibly picky and the food served to me exceeded my expectations. I am definitely coming back and I highly recommend everyone to check them out.

Great variety of Indian quick bites. Happy to see them try to create a tasting menu blending Mexican and Indian quick bites (so NYC, so Cinco de Mayo, so tasty). If the tasting menu returns and/or if I would recommend 1 item to try it would be the pico de gallo pani puri.

Went for the tasting menu. The food sounded really good in theory but it just didn’t quite hit the spot! It was nicely plated though. The ambiance of the outdoor seating is really cute. Service was fine, although a bit slow.

I usually get their kathi rolls or something quick! This time we got their 7 course desi garden experience which was delicious and definitely worth it. The lamb flauntes were amazing. I have never had anything with beyond meat before but the beyond meat quesadillas were my favorite dish. The churros were a great end to the whole experience, left me wanting more!

Desi Galli has tasty Indian street food. I enjoy the food very much. It is a bit pricey for small portions. The store on Ave B is small. There are not many seats but I have not encountered difficulty getting seated. You order at the counter and they bring it to the table if you are eating there. It is of course take out as well.

I didn’t know I needed a Mexican Indian fusion…until this place! Four of us dropped in for dinner, and found new favourites in the desipoutine, quesadillas, and burrito. Friendly service, and a lovely chat with the owner who explained to us how this fusion had come about. Probably one of the best meals we had in NYC.
