China Star is a mixture of Chinese and American food. They have your typical Chinese lunch special and dinner combo, hibachi and American food like wings, fries and cheese steaks. I’ve never ordered a cheese steak from them. Just didn’t look appetizing. This particular day the food was on point. The rice is generally on point in that’s my favorite. I’m giving them a four star since the last few times I’ve been there they’ve been consistent. Your experience may be different.

Ordered online, food was ready quickly. Steamed dumplings were ok, the dipping sauce gave it flavor. The egg rolls were not good. Ordered pork egg rolls, there wasn’t much pork in them. Got the beef and veggies dinner combo & sesame chicken dinner combo. The meats and veggies tasted great, but the chicken fried rice that came with the dinner combo was either old or not cooked properly. There was a stiffness to the rice. Not sure if I’d eat here again.

Do not order chow mein from here. There are no noodles in their chow mein, just a greasy, soupy slop of vegetables. When I complained about it, the lady wanted $5 to fix the problem and said I should have ordered lo mein. I did not pay the $5 and took my loss. I’ve never seen chow mein look like that. It looked like vomit w/ whole vegetables. This was my favorite Chinese place. I won’t be back.

This is our once every 2 weeks eatery. I used to get Veggie Egg Foo Yung but the gravy is so inconsistent I just stopped ordering it. I get shrimp fried rice and it’s pretty good.

They nickel and dime people too much for me. Just give me a set price for my food. Don’t add no Dollar on for this and 50 Cent on for that. I don’t like stuff like that. And then for the price of the food ,it’s not even that great. They’re one of the most expensive Chinese restaurants around here.

I ordered the Orange Tofu and Vegetable Fried Rice for delivery and the bag was secured with knots. The tofu was really great but some vegetables were more undercooked and crunchy than I would have liked. The price(18.31 tax included) is too high for the quality of food received.
