Born and raised in Southern California so we know some good true Mexican food. Not taking anything from this place because the food was good, just wasn’t what I expected. The only thing that made me say, “yeah this reminds me of the Mexican lady on the corner at the Florence train station stop with the bomb Raspados” was the Raspados but just wish since this was a California theme spot they should have the tried and true flavors like the horchata you know? But over all the food was good. We will be back to try something else. This time, I had the Carne asada fries with the Raspado, just wish the price for the drink wasn’t so high. It was $6 for one. That’s kind of high for the drink you know? At that price give me the authentic California hospitality. Ask me where I’m from afterwards lol jk jk

SO TASTY!! The photos of the food here is what sold me to try it, and it did not disappoint. I got the LA burrito and the flavor was incredible!! I strongly recommend getting this, it comes with a spicy salsa on the side. My daughter had the kids quesadillas and she devoured it. We’ll be coming back again.

Mex girl from Cali & very picky about my Mexican food. La Catrina is the real deal. I had the birria tacos w/consome & rice. Husband had the Mexican pizza (birria)…It was BOMB.

Everything was great! Staff were very friendly and helped us with the menu; it was our first time here. The loaded fries appetizer was big enough to share w three people. Tacos were good!

Had some pretty good lunch today at La Catrina. It wasn’t busy at all and our food came out the kitchen pretty fast. As for the facility, it was clean, spacious, and had a cool vibe to it. My only complaint is that I wish they had spicier salsa.

Went on Friday during lunch, had the Birria tacos, went back the following day for more! The meat was tender and had a ton of flavor. The consomme was the icing on the cake. I chose the box which came with three tacos, chips, refried beans, Mexican rice and white queso dip. As a returning customer, bring your 10% off card. I’ll be going at least once a week for the Birria tacos…. delish!

I’ve gone through all 4 of those Mexican pizzas that are unique in town and while all 4 were delicious I especially recommend their Chorizo and Chicken ones. Their Carne Asasa Fries is great too, and their guacamole is is combined with something that makes it great. The only downside is all 4 of their pizzas as messy as crazy on your hands, so get extra napkins before you start eating the pieces.
