If you’re looking for a quick fix and decent prices, give Sushiya a try. They have a good amount of flow of people coming in and out and though they don’t have parking here they do have street parking/ paid parking for everyone. This restaurant is right across from MSU so there is easy access and they do know how to get things done and well on those busy days, especially games days, look out! I always try to venture out in what I eat here but I always seem to fall under the power of the bento box. Though I do love sushi, bento here is my go-to for something filling, different options and no hesitation for keeping the tongue amused. It’s a hot meal, good price, and does come with a lot and there are options to have a portion of sushi made out for you if you don’t want to miss that taste as well. It’s easy and fast, seeing how I’m usually on the go it’s a good place to grab food from. Most of my meals are to go and they are done efficiently, but I’ve dined here as well and have always been treated well with staff who are more than happy to give out suggestions.

Went here with my bf while visiting campus and it was an amazing experience! The waitress was super kind and nice. We were the only two there which shocked me but I cannot wait to come back when I live up there for school in a couple weeks. The food was incredible, decently priced and it was overall just a really nice place.

My favorite sushi place in EL. I usually order pickups. If you know the right dishes to order, this place wouldn’t disappoint you. Reasonable prices for quality sushi though they might have issues with their waiters. I believe the problem is they don’t usually have many waiters and if there are unexpected numbers of customers, they simply don’t function well.. but their sushi is definitely the best in town in terms of quality and cost.

Decent sushi joint right by the school. The tempura sauce was weird. Not the light color ones you would usually get. It’s more like soy sauce. I wouldn’t recommend it. The spicy seafood udon was surprisingly good. I liked mount Fuji roll. Overall experience wasn’t bad. I would come back.

I sometimes deliver for extra cash and this Friday I was sent in for an order. I go to pick it up and the girl says 7-8 minutes. I went and picked up the order that was attached and came back and still wasn’t ready. I asked about three times when the order would be ready and nobody could tell me a time. People were getting their pick ups and this customer placed her order 25 minutes before I was watching all these walk on people get their food before this lady did. There is no way I should have had to wait 35-40 mins more for an order already placed! I will never go here again and am spreading the word about how they can’t make an order a priority if I have been waiting that long. Terrible place and business.

Delicious food, beautifully prepared, and great service (friendly, patient, and accommodating). The menu is rather long which can make it hard to decide, but I love all the photos. In addition to tons of sushi options they also have some rice bowls and noodle dishes. The monkey balls appetizer was my favorite item. The photos below show a bento box meal and the avocado don, (avocado stuffed w spicy crab, then lightly tempura fried, atop salad and rice). Will definitely visit again.

My Hotwife and I rode our bikes on the MSU bike trail this past Saturday. We ride aggressively and as per the norm I could barely keep up with her… Lol. Anyway, we were out of water and went inside and the waitress Randi was so kind to fill our water bottle with ice cold water. Considering Randi was so kind and accommodating we decided to order some sushi. We had the outside seating all to ourselves on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Randi was kind enough to bring the sushi burritos out to table with extra condiments as requested. Due to the COVID situation there was not a dine in option. The burritos were filling, filled with sushi and very tasty. We’ll be back for sure!

The food is affordable and good. It can get crowded around dinner time when the students are in town but honestly great food and a great staff.
