I had the chicken dinner. Great fried chicken with fries. Everything was yummy. Pretty decent service. Good food. Cool place.

Rude restaurant. Instead of informing out of towners of their rules, they belittle you as if you should already know their rules on ordering food. We had 13 people that came from a long distance to pay good money to spend local. The ridiculous disrespectful staff is killing the business. They need to be retrained on how to be a successful employee. I was treated better by the Taliban in Afghanistan when I was in theater. As a 23-year Army Solider, I am shocked but not surprised at the level of ignorance and disrespect. It is my hope that this night was a fluke and normally does not happen. I hope the owner cleans house if they really want to make real money. You just lost $500 easy tonight.

This bar/restaurant is the real deal not your up-scale brew-pub pretending to be rustic. Don’t be put off if the mounted deer looks a little mangey or a motorcycle club shows up for dinner. The food is GREAT as long as you aren’t looking for nouvelle cuisine.

The team at Camping World were trying to place a $100 plus order and Sarah was who picked up the phone. Was incredibly rude and then decided to hang up the phone on our employee ordering. Very disappointed as we love to support our local businesses.

Didn’t get to experience it actually. We just walked in at 8:40pm and were greeted with “we close in like 15 minutes”. We were hoping to stop in for 1 beer for each of us to experience a new place (and no food), but instead left because we surely weren’t wanted by that waitress. Probably just a “bad-egg” employee though – so will try again sometime….

I thought we were going to a bar. They actually have a nice bar. What I was presently surprised with was the dining area, menu and quality of food. I highly recommend the sampler appetizer and the house made potato chips.

It was a quaint lil’ spot. At first look, it’s a total biker bar and hang-out spot (which its not). It also has a VERY interesting history! (Check it out) The food was AwEsOmE (even though I wanted the prime rib but they sold out) I ordered the chicken meal; 2 or 4 pieces of chicken, mashed spuds, Hawaiian dinner roll, and coleslaw the chicken was the best I’ve had in a very, VeRy long time. Not dry, burnt, undercooked, greasy, etc. It was juicy, rich, and moist, I almost didn’t realize what was going on lol. The only real negative was the noise level inside, we were ending a business meeting with dinner and although the food and service were on point, I’m glad we didn’t start the meeting there, we wouldn’t have been able to hear each other. Oh, also the lady’s restroom is very nice and clean with excellent essentials and that more spendy ‘smell good’ hemp lotion lol I was impressed. Never judge a book on its cover. We all know this. Thanks all

Didn’t charge the Sturgis prices just to get a burger! Really great food and prices for a little hidden spot off the highway. Will be going back!

Went to Polaris of the Black Hills for service. We decided to go grab lunch while they worked on the SxS. We spotted Slash J Saloon from the interstate and decided to stop. I am so glad we did! The beers are cold, and the food was delicious! I got the Slash J Club sandwich with the homemade chips. So good. Sometimes a club sandwich can be dry. Not this one. The toast was crunchy, but not overly dry. Just the right amount of mayonnaise, and the ham and turkey were moist. The lettuce was crisp and cool. This could be the perfect club sandwich! The homemade chips were good, cooked perfect, but they could have used a little more of their signature seasoning. Looking forward to my next service at Polaris so I can go back!
