I love the Star!! The food is consistently delicious, hearty and prepared just like I like it. The coffee is hot and my cup is never empty. The prices youll have to double check as you will think that they forgot an item or two … VERY VERY reasonable. All these things though are NOT what makes the Star Restaurant hands down my favorite spot in Montana … heck all of the West. Its Jessie and his staff. They are the epitome of Montana hospitality .. they treat everyone like family. Only one way into Nevada City and one way out and if you find yourself on that stretch of 287 .. stop and look around and grab a Vigilante!! YUM

Sadly, the food is the worst part about this place. Incredible staff and service, however.High prices and small portions. Buns undersized for the burger which was thin and dry. Been there twice now and it just feels like it’s pricing outside of it’s offerings. It’s fine for a coffee and snack but not worth it to take a group there. I’m sorry, but it’s true.
