We hit Mel’s Diner about an hour after they opened. It was quiet and had a comfortable atmosphere. It was a little chilly, i was glad I wore a jacket. I got the strawberry pancakes special. It came with two sausage links but I got bacon instead. My husband got sausage and eggs and a side of home fries. My husband’s only complaint was he wished there was more substance instead of filler. I know we will be back again. I will definitely recommend Mel’s to anyone.

Amazing service, best I’ve seen in a while. Food was amazing and the portions were big for their prices. Everyone there were super friendly and constantly had me laughing. There were so many tasty options on the menu, I wish I could try it all! I will definitely come back again.

I had the bacon and cheese omelet. It had lots of bacon which I love but sadly the rest of the omelet was dry and didn’t have much flavor. I got the breakfast potatoes and same thing, dry and no seasoning. Service was great and they kept our coffee cups filled. Just wish the food was on the same level as the service.

Six of my extended family met in Mt Home to visit and have breakfast. After being turned away by another restaurant as they did not have a table for six and did not offer to let us wait, we went to Mel’s Diner. Good choice! We waited approximately 15 mins while the manager set up the private dining room as they were out of tables in the main area. Our waitress was excellent and the food was very good. The best part was that they made us feel welcome even though they were short staffed and very busy. We will be back again.
