My friend and I went to American Deli around 5:00pm in the afternoon. There were three other customers in the restaurant when we arrived. The young lady at the register taking orders worked quickly through the line. I ordered a turkey & ham sub. Once our orders were taken we were provided drink cups to enjoy a beverage while we waited. Our meals were prepared quickly. My sub was light on meat and very heavy on mustard. There was room for 6 or 8 seats, but there weren’t any.

I ordered a Philly with extra meat. They PILED IT ON. A delicious, hot MONSTER of a sandwich. They lost a star because the wings were too small and despite me saying cook SOFT – they were too hard. I’ll just skip the wings next time and get the sandwich only.

Service sucks here. They have already cooked chicken just sitting and waiting to be ordered. When asked for my food to be cooked fresh they charged me an extra 2 dollars, like shouldn’t that be GIVEN!!! Angel the managers daughter is so freaking rude. Please do not come to the establishment it’s so not worth your hard earned money unless you’re disparate!

What’s the point of ordering ahead, if I still have to stand in line to pick up my food? I was on break at work and very ANNOYED that I still had to stand in a long line. Then when I got to the register the cashier just reached behind her and grabbed my order. Which could have been done by the first employee I asked. The food was good, but because of the service I will not be returning.

Literally just get your wings and go. The wings are good in my experience. American Deli is an ATL staple and I’ve been eating it since I was a kid. I always enjoy my wings (hot w/lemon pepper sprinkle) BUT since Covid you cannot dine in and this place is not known whatsoever for customer service. Even though you walk in, it’s run like fast food, NOT a restaurant. The people taking the orders tend to not greet you & they’re not warm. If you go expecting good customer service you will be disappointed. But their wings are better & cheaper than literally any real dine in restaurants where you’ll get good service. You’re paying $13 for 10 wings, lots of fries, and a drink. Most restaurants these days are charging $20 for a 10 piece & fries with no drink. Some are charging $20 for JUST the wings. Not to mention their wing sauces are better than most restaurants. It’s a trade off. I literally just go here to get my wings, go back home and don’t let the lack of customer service bother me. If you’re from Atlanta you know that NONE of the wing spots have good customer service. It is what it is. Also if you’re not from ATL, just know it’s not an actual deli, that’s just the name. They specialize in wings and phillys. Don’t waste ur time on the salads, gyros, subs, or fried rice. They aren’t good and you will be disappointed.

Not worth the price for these small azz over dried & lukewarm wingz, they should be embarrassed! They load you with fries I guess to fill you up! Only thing the lemonade was on point. As a truck driver I just wanted a decent meal away from the truck stop but was disappointed
