The decor is cool. The food was just ok. The cabbage was so plain, not pickled. The chips and salsa were too simple, quite plain. The salsa very mild, the chips were old-ish. They do offer a great selection of margaritas. The pico de gallo was fresh, had a zing to it which added flavor to food. The fajitas tostada had bland chicken. The chicken in the corn tacos was flavorful. Not sure why one dish had bland chicken. The carnitas taco was the most flavorful ( had the beef and chicken also).

Came here with my family for the first time earlier this week. We had their Ole burrito, tamal, quesadilla ranchero, and el charro steak. Food is delicious! It was so good that I got take out two days after. Love their green salsa!

Their chicken soup is really good. I had the El Gran burrito. It was good & I would get again. It comes with chicken, shrimp and steak in red sauce- the sides of rice, beans & salad was just right. Our waiter was so super friendly and attentive. My friend got the Taco salad bowl & enjoyed it; it the “go-to” for her. Definitely worth checking out if in the area of Material Spring Ave.

Came to El Charro using my RI Food Fights Taco Passport and was not disappointed!! I called to order takeout and the person in the phone was so friendly and helpful, and when I went to pick up my order everyone inside seemed so happy, patrons and staff alike. I had the chicken and steak tacos and holy moly they were so good! They both came with a generous amount of meat and the flavors were incredible. I am so looking forward to returning to try many other menu items. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere, large bar area, plenty of seating, and a large parking lot. So happy to have found this place.

I had ordered shrimp fajitas. The shrimp was very large and butterfly cut. And a lot of peppers and onions were given for the wraps. I chose the corn tortillas and they were very delicious. And I ordered a large Mexicanita … It was very big and well worth it. They even have a size up for the Margaritas that are very big, maybe meant for 2 like a Scorpion bowl.

I came here with some friends and had absolutely no idea what I was in for. Our waitress was kind enough to go through the menu and eagerly point out her favourite dishes and recommendations – and I was all too happy to order everything that she pointed to! Not only was the food DELICIOUS but it was also just a lot of fun having a waitress that was so willing to help out a newcomer who had no idea what to order.

This is a takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. I used their app to place an order for 6:25. I arrived at 6:15 and it was sitting on the counter. Took it to the vehicle and drove one block, parked and ate. All of the food was cold. It had been sitting out for some time. The French fries were cold and soggy. The refried beans were a solid block. The Taco had some flavor but it was cold. Even the Torta wrapped in foil could not be considered warm. A very disappointing experience. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 3.8.
