My husband and I came here and really liked it. We got the fried pickles which were delicious but be prepared! The portion is enough for 4 people at least!! I got the pulled pork dinner with green beans and fried corn. The pork was super juicy and very tasty. The green beans had a vinegar base. The corn was fried and so good! It tasted sweeter with a hint of popcorn flavor. My husband got the brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese. The Mac is unique and delicious!!! The atmosphere is definitely not a hometown bbq feel but our waitress was very nice.

Amazing Food! My workplace had some food catered and I ordered the pulled pork burrito with Mac-N-Cheese. It was incredibly delicious. The Mac was INSIDE the burrito and it had cheese and bbq sauce on top. I was so impressed with the flavor I brought my husband to the restaurant for dinner the next day!

I had this outside Baxter bar in the highlands. It was a good truck. The service was great and fast. The food was fresh and plenty of flavor. The Mac n cheese chicken bowl was a definite win and I’d eat here again. The owners had wonderful customer service

My wife recently had a corporate lunch catered from here and swore we had to come here. This weekend we did and A.S.S. did not disappoint. I had a smoked brisket burrito, smothered in cheese and barbeque sauce and it was fantastic. The spice level was perfect, the texture juicy and the taste delicious. My wife shared her deviled eggs and cheese curds as well, both fantastic as well. Staff (Mike) was super helpful, offered recommendations, got our food to us as quick as possible and was more than willing to make fixes when there was an issue with our order. We will definitely be coming back again and probably get dessert too!

Small little bbq place with great food and service. We got the fried pickles, a brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese, a pulled pork dinner with deep fried corn and brisket green beans.

Has potential to be a great place but very underwhelming. Slow service. Saw a few couples sit at the bar only to leave after not being acknowledged, and it wasn’t very busy. Dined in but given plastic silverware. Lots of TV’s either turned off or no relevant sports on in the bar area…. Food was decent at least. Rubbin Butts is a better BBQ/sports bar scene.

I think some of these previous reviewers are confused or didn’t really even go to the restaurant. Portion sizes were on point (as seen in actual photos) and prices were fair. Chicken wings were sizable and juicy. I had the bourbon apples and they were delicious. I love the fact that I can get my wings and my vegetarian husband had plenty of options too! He had the Philly with Tofu instead of meat…collard greens and cole slaw. I was going to taste test those, but they were gone too quick so I know they were good! We shared the tater tot “nachos” (chili on the side) and it was gone before anyone came to ask how it tasted! Don’t even get me started on the atmosphere. A lot of heart went into the design of this unique restaurant and it shows! Will definitely be going back and recommending to others!

A.S.S. used to be our favorite BBQ restaurant in the area and we were regulars. We went to the new location today and it was a huge disappointment. When our food came out in a carryout boxes, instead of the previous nice plating, we knew it was not going to be good. The only good thing I can say about the experience was the potato salad is still very good. They no longer have wait staff and now take orders like a fast food restaurant. The menu items have less choices, and the ribs were dry and tasted awful, the sauce was not nearly the same and watered down, and the drink machine wasn’t working. I felt like we paid way too much for less service and poor quality food. The previous location was nice and inviting, and the food was outstanding, but the new location at the car auction site is like eating at an over priced, glorified cafeteria.

I always order the Brisket dinner. Not everyone knows how to do brisket. I was happy to find this place. My only complaint is that it didn’t come with sauce already on it and if you want it (ordered through delivery app for pickup) you have to pay like 30 cents or so per sauce cup. That’s not how we do it in Texas, but it’s alright lol

The pork, chicken & brisket is top tier! Their new smoker they have has brought their food to the next level. As a regular I suggest everyone who’s had a bad experience with food quality to give it a second chance!
