Great food and great service. This family owned restaurant runs like clockwork. The whole atmosphere is lively and fun. I never knew they catered, definitely will give that a try. The smoked flavor in the meat is great. They hand squeeze the lime sour and it’s very tasty. Overall it’s a great lunch destination.

Best Turkey salad on planet earth! Employees are super nice. Food always fresh and restaurant super clean. Not one complaint and been there 100 times. Sweet tea awesome also! I’ve had most items on menu. Super good.

I’m traveling this week for my 41st high school reunion and took the opportunity to stop off for a smoked turkey sandwich at Burge’s in my old neighborhood. Some things get better with time and this place is on that list. The simplicity of a sandwich on buttered white toast with smoked turkey, lettuce and mayo is absolutely divine. Keep up the great work!!!

I am thoroughly confused by the reviews but perhaps I ordered the wrong things. The cheeseburger had no grill flavor and virtually no seasoning. The turkey salad had zero smoke flavor and looked/tasted VERY similar to potted meat. I waited at least 15 mins for the burger. Maybe it was ready sooner but I just didn’t realize? The young, upfront people don’t speak loudly enough or provide any direction.

Probably the worst fried catfish I have ever ate! It also had a horrible aftertaste to the fish! 2 of my fillets were really really small, and than another was about one third of my regular piece! Way overpriced, very thin pieces too! Fries were good, coleslaw was good, the beans were just ok. Hush puppies below average. If I do ever go back, I will not be ordering their catfish! Yuck!

Great food, had smoked turkey melt. Crispy bacon, turkey had amazing flavor. I don’t like mayo so I often have dry sandwiches. Turkey was moist and more than made up for the lack of mayo. Baked beans were well flavored. Fried peach pie was really good but could use a little more filling.

The turkey sandwich, chicken tenders, and fries were ok. My husband really liked the fish. The chocolate pies are DELICIOUS.

Great place to go to for state fair style foot long corn dogs. Mind you they serve an assortment of smoked foods & salads, but that’s what initially caught my eye. The staff was friendly, but I felt uncomfortable with the states from the patrons…kind of made me feel like blacks didn’t visit their establishment too often. That being said, I would come back to try other foods…especially the fried pies.

Prices are reasonable, the counter staff friendly. I didn’t give 5 stars because as although the food was good. I wasn’t particularly wowed by any of the things I sampled. I thought they were maybe slightly above average. It’s not a bad thing, or a knock. I’d come back again, it’s just nothing amazed me, and that’s ok!

My sandwich was delicious! The service was great and that place very clean. They have a large menu. I also bought a pint of their turkey salad. It is fantastic and I’m not even a big fan of turkey in general.
