We had the best experience. We went for an anniversary date, and we weren’t disappointed in food or service. We spent about $400 for the two of us (including tip).

What an amazing Mother’s Day celebration! Service was impeccable, food looked as good as it tasted and the atmosphere was inviting and not stuffy. I surprised my fiancee for Mother’s Day by bringing her here. We ordered a couple of cocktails and they were delicious. We both ended up ordering the tasting menu(omakase) that was made just for Mother’s Day and it was the right choice! Seafood was fresh, flavors were out of this world and the dishes looked almost too pretty to eat! First time there but not the last!! Thank you Will for making the experience memorable. He was very knowledgeable, had great suggestions and was not over bearing.

Upscale buzzing spot to gather with friends for some food and drinks while in the area. Open kitchen concept with a grill in the middle. Has a nice bar and kitchen counter seats. Food is ok but nothing spectacular or outstanding. Meat is better than fish here, presentation was decent but could improv. Drinks & Desserts were good and probably the best things here. Ube Pot de Crème made the night. Staff were all friendly, service was ok but not consistent. Overall, Roka is a good option for a group of friends weekend night out in a typical Scottsdale setting.

Service was amazing!! We are from out of town and were looking for a sushi restaurant and Roka Akor did not disappoint! They have lots on the menu that wasn’t sushi! Waiter said the sushi was taking a minute but it was very fast! My favorite was the spicy tuna

Tonight was my first time at Roka Akor and I must say it was a spectacular experience. The restaurant has “its Saturday night” vibe. Even on a weeknight it feels like a place one can truly relax and celebrate life. The open kitchen featured in restaurant gives diners a view behind the curtain, where they can spectate at their leisure as the culinary theater commences. The menu is seafood oriented and features oceanic creatures in season as well as Waguy cuts in modern Japanese interpretations. The spirits list which features wines, sake and creative cocktails provokes quintessential life questions: “Is this two or three cocktails kind of night?” We splurged and decided to chase our cocktails down with a carafe of sake mysteriously named “The Bride of A Fox” or something similar sounding, referring to a Fox nuptials. Both choices were solid and must be repeated in the same pattern should such occasion arise. The food choices, and we made plenty considering five hungry adults and one extremely carnivorous child, were excellent and there was not a dish that we would not order again. Tuna toro sashimi melted in our mouths, tuna tataki and spicy rolls were excellent. We enjoyed the crispy eggplant, shishto peppers, Brussels sprouts, uni sashimi, salmon rolls, Waguy steak, stuffed mushrooms, octopus, prawns. The cherry on a proverbial cake of our dining experience was dessert. Literally. We ordered an Ube crème de pot and two Chocolate lava cakes with vanilla ice cream. The desserts were decadently divine. The service was excellent. Expedient and professional. I highly recommend this restaurant.

What an amazing dining experience!! Our waitress, Maddie, was super knowledgeable and friendly along with all the other staff that came to our table. Our cups were never empty. We ate the 5 course chefs choice, and it was wonderful! The peppers were the only thing I wasn’t in love with, since I’m a spicy wimp. If you can afford a fancy night out, I highly reccomend this place!

I contacted Roka to arrange a dinner for 25 people, and I must say that Kari, the Sales & Marketing Manager, was an absolute delight to work with. She was very helpful, patient, and courteous throughout the entire process.
