I’ve been here a few times dining in and drive thru and every time has been great. The staff is always extremely friendly and kind. The restaurant is insanely clean and the food is out of this world. Easily the best Mexican food I’ve had in my life. Looking at the menu it might look expensive the portions are huge. You definitely won’t leave hungry. Sometimes it takes a little longer than I’d like but that’s because everything is made fresh! When you get it it’ll be hot hot hot. I absolutely love Abelardos. They need to build one on the southside town!

Got a pork chill meal (#11) w/ horchata. The meal itself was pretty good for “authentic” and fast-food Mexican. The horchata was decent. I prefer my horchata to be more on the sweeter side. The total was kinda pricy at 17$ for the quality. Overall, good, but would only visit to satisfy my urge to eat Mexican and get a horchata.

Updating my previous review since I’ve eaten here a few times now. I’m continuing to be impressed by the food. It’s not going to win any awards, but it is consistently good. It’s a pretty good quality to price ratio. Menu is very similar to DeLeon’s, if you are familiar with them. Much nicer accomodations inside, however. Seems like Tuesday night is the most popular time to go. You can get five tacos for six bucks. However, the wait times are much longer on Tuesday nights because of it. They hustle, and I respect that.

We moved from San Diego 2 years ago. I have missed really good real Mexican food. This was amazing. My husband and son have been going to Abelardos for a while. This was my first time. My husband and I shared Carne Asada Super Fries. My son gets the Tacos.

Was very clean!! Was so impressed with how much we got. We did dine in & if you dine in you get free chips . Everyone was very nice . I would highly recommend stopping in or running through the drive through for yummy delicious food and the best thing is it won’t break the bank❤️.

The Tuesday special 5 tacos for 5.99 hard, soft or fried meat, cheese, and lettuce is a pretty good deal. The fried tacos didnt have as much meat as the hard and soft. The mexi fries crumbled when you picked them up and had to much seasoning. The bavarian cream churro was delicious.

Not one complaint other then it took me nearly if not 5 months to fill my loyalty punch card and finally go this evening to have it honored and get told that they wasn’t the ones who punched it. That really upset me. I’m sorry but if the restaurant was not that restaurant then what other one have o gone to. It clearly says on punch card only good at this location. My other punch card is for the one by the airport and it’s not full and their punch is totally a different type of punch.

Let me first start by saying that I love Abelardos and the food but this location (North 48th) is straight trash with customer service. I ordered a shrimp burrito which was fine but they got my order wrong when I said FRIES not RICE. I understand it can sound the same but when I was trying to explain nicely the order was wrong both the employee and manager said and I quote “sorry but not my problem since I heard you say rice over the intercom.” Meanwhile talking over me like I was below them. So they basically were trying to have me repay for the fries which they gave me rice instead of just exchanging it AND I didn’t even get any utensils for the rice (wrong item) even it was the case. Don’t go to this location because 9/10 times they’ll get your order wrong and make it seem like it’s your fault.

At first my experience was great! The food was right and service was great but after going a couple of times service still okay but the food done went to hell, my portions smaller but still the same price , food ain’t cooked well done like it was cook in the beginning and my horchata be un-drinkable….. The question I would like answered is what went wrong or what’s wrong with me that service declined so quickly??? I pay good money to eat here, I’m nice even when I have to repeat myself over and over and I eat and pay for whatever meal you guys think you heard Sometimes!

Over-Priced. I used to love this place, but when the price goes up 10%, then goes up another 10% less than a year later, that’s too much. Twelve bucks for a breakfast burrito is out of line. I realize you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do to keep your doors open, but count me out. I’ve eaten my last burrito from this joint.
