My husband and I went here in April for our five year wedding anniversary. We wanted to try this place to see how it compared to a kaiseki in Japan. We were NOT disappointed! We did the “Kiku” menu. When you first enter the restaurant, the hostess describes the different elements that each area of the restaurant is based off. We were placed in the stone room which was beautiful. We had Tsukiko for our waitress. She was super polite, and attentive. Our meals came out immediately back to back. Everything was delicious, except for the miso soup. We were hoping that the tofu was made in house, but it was made in the US by a Japanese company. The tofu tasted like cheap tofu you’d buy at a grocery store like Walmart.

Tonight I had the pleasure of dining with my son at Takumi-Tei, a high-end Japanese restaurant in Disney world Epcot and it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. From the moment I stepped inside the hall way. I was captivated by the elegant and serene ambiance, which perfectly complemented the essence of Japanese culture.

This place was amazing! They make their own salt blend and don’t ask for soy sauce, it’s all seasoned perfectly! Our server even made a personal origami just for my birthday!

This was a definite highlight of our trip! Our server Riko was gracious, attentive and knowledgeable. The rest of the service staff was impeccable as well. We had the Japanese Waygu with our 7 courses and did the Saki pairing. I highly recommend the Saki pairing. It was an exquisite experience for our family of 6. We all wanted the night to go on and on! Thank you Riko and the amazing chefs for such a memorable dining experience. We hope to come back! The Erickson Family

Superb. All courses exceeded expectations and I had high expectations. Service from Nana was excellent. Never had to ask for a refill, she explained all the courses and answered questions on how to properly eat the sushi… no Soy sauce! It was excellent. If I could give 10 stars I would. It was super expensive but the value was 100% there. Very kind staff and helpful. Amazing!

Delicious omakase experience. The service was lovely – our servers were from Japan and you could tell that they were truly proud and passionate about the food they were serving. Food was expensive, but fresh and plentiful.

So this place is new to Epcot. It opened earlier this year. It promised me authentic Japanese cuisine with an accompanying experience unlike any other offered at a Disney restaurant. Holy crapola did Takumi-Tei deliver. The host escorts you through the initial hallway and explains the importance of the five elements to the Japanese people before she seats you in one of five dining rooms, one for each element.
