Unfortunately, I have to give them 3 stars. Since moving to their new location, they have gone up on prices and now charge a fee for using a credit card. Food is good but not great, at least not for the prices they charge, and almost 4 bucks for tea is a little crazy. Also, I generally get the same thing, and depending on if it is the owner/manager or a server, I get charges for cheese. Also, the service is sometimes great, depending on who you get. The atmosphere, well it is a restaurant so it’s ok. Overall, it’s probably best to find a new favorite Mexican place to eat.

I’ve come here twice since they have opened and I have to say it is quickly becoming one of my favorites! The first time we went, it was a busy Friday night, however, the service, staff, and food was outstanding! This past weekend, we got take-out from here. Two orders that were done perfectly to our specifications and ready in 15 minutes! We will be back soon!

The most Authentic Mexican food I’ve tasted here in Columbia. The decor and atmosphere is really nice they did a lot of work to the old lizards thicket. Staff is friendly and service was great. Will definitely come back

Stopped in for lunch just to try it out. Used to come here when it was a Lizards Thicket. Parking lot was getting full around noon, which is always a good sign that you picked a good place. We were seated and served right away with soft drinks and chips and salsa. We ordered off the lunch menu, but my chori chicken dish looked like a dinner sized portion. Salsa has a slight heat to it, and the food was tasty. Service was excellent. We’ll be back!

Well, well, well…. they stepped up with the new digs and it’s a fine match! They took the old Lizards Thicket and enhanced it with some Mexican flare here and there… to the point where they certainly made it there own and it totally works. Definitely enjoyed the new space.

I love this place. They give you your money’s worth when it comes down to your food. But I wish they would put some tables and chairs on the outside

Great Mexican! Nice long bar if you want to chill and grab a few beers and dinner or a nice large dining area with plenty of tables. They have the typical combos of a Mexican restaurant to items such as Al pastor and Mole. Highly recommend!

I really wanted to enjoy this place, as I was looking for a Mexican place in Columbia, but I just didn’t. My girlfriend and I both got enchiladas with rice and beans, and we had the same feelings about it. We both thought the rice was great, but the beans and enchiladas(particularly the sauce) were subpar; queso was very watery. I believe it was Gordon Ramsay that said if a place has this many menu options (of which they have an overwhelming amount) they are not great at any of them. On top of this, service felt disjointed; I believe we had three different waiters/waitresses at one point, and two tables which sat down after us were served first. I might come back to try different food options, but I’m not planning any trips anytime soon.
