I have been wanting to try Wicked Hen for over a year, but after reading the recent reviews, I was a little hesitant. After a lot of back and forth, I decided to try brunch anyway, and I’m happy I did. Contrary to recent reviews, the portions were large (my boyfriend had the pecan crusted chicken and sweet potato waffle, and he was served TWO breasts with his waffle and fruit, and, even as a big eater, he barely finished it.) I tried it, too, and the flavor was amazing! I ordered the fried green tomato BLT, and it was delicious! We also decided to give the duck egg rolls a try, and they didn’t disappoint. The combination of bitter turnip greens, duck, the crispy egg roll covering, and the sweet fruity chutney was so amazing! Whatever was going on with this place has resolved, because I will definitely be returning! (Oh, and the bloody Marys and mimosas are pretty darn good, too!)

I have been here several times. I’m starting to notice the food has changed. Months ago when I went a couple times the food was delicious. Three weeks ago the food was okay. The first time I got the pesto pasta it was creamy and good, the last time I got it, it was on the oily side. Same thing with the pecan chicken with sweet potato waffles. It was so good but now not so much. The chicken is no longer season and was a little too soft. The serving size has also gotten smaller but that’s understandable due to food prices. Photos will show the difference. The hamburger was the last thing I tried and wasn’t season at all and missing stuff that was listed on the menu. Will not try that again. Family member said the tomato sandwich was okay. Those sweet potato fries were good with the sauce just wasn’t hot. So I’m guessing they switch chef. I can see this causing issues for returning customers.

Food I would give 10 stars. Service was also 10 stars…It was amazing. I was able to watch the game while I was there as well…It’s a little pricey and they also charge you for using your card. Bring Cash. I had the pork belly appetizer. A delicious ribeye and my guy had the snapper.

Wicked Hen has been consistently good. We order once a month on average. It is on the smaller side if you’re planning to dine in, but it’s clean and quiet. It is moving into the pricier end, but it is better than eating at a franchise restaurant.

My husband and I were traveling and googled some good lunch options. We liked the name so we stopped in! So glad we did! We split the cheese board and Farmhouse burger and my goodness!!! Everything was perfect! The board contents tasted as good as they looked! Beautiful display on board! And the Farmhouse burger was 100% delicious! Perfectly cooked and the fries were addictive! If we ever find ourselves in Columbus again, we will def go back!

Was recommended a new place and it’s a cute little restaurant. They had a bigger party of like 12 but only a few other people were there, which totally bogged down the service/kitchen. It took us about 15 to get our appetizer and then another 40 mins to get our food. Even without the time delay tbh the food was overall bland. The duck egg rolls were the best by a long shot, followed by the cucumber salad and then fries, which were really the only seasoned items. Server was friendly and kept our drinks full and apologized but the food LOOKED good but tasted bland which would make us not come back again.

Shared parking with the rest of the square, accepts cash and card. The main array of restaurant seating is downstairs with a cool upstairs bar with some patio seating. The menu is concise but not lacking, with something for just about everyone on the list. I had the lamb burger while everyone else had the shrimp and grits. Everything was really good and it’s nice to find a place who serves good collards (a LITTLE salty)! The space is chic, simple, and attractive and the service was good. Definitely recommended for an upscale southern cuisine experience!

Another solid Columbus restaurant. The dining room makes this place special. Really clean and classy space. Food was unique, adventurous and surprisingly great! Only improvements I would like to see are a house made lemonade. Not a fan of fountain drinks. And the parking is shared in the square — so not a lot of space for customers.

The wicked hen restaurant is a great place to go for a wonderfully prepared meal and great service. The drink menu was unique and elegant with a nice selection to choose from. The atmosphere is newly renovated and modern with a southern flair. Definitely a hidden gem! If you go for brunch, definitely try the steak and eggs! ⭐️
