Loved this restaurant. My husband suggested it as a way to get me out of the house. Mexican is an easy way to do that. We walked a few blocks to El Pulpo Loco in quite cold weather. It was well worth it. I am not crazy about having drinks during the week, but after tasting my husband’s margarita, I had to have one, but with a salted rim. It was the perfect compliment to our meal, which consisted of Shrimp Empanadas, Steak Burrito (for me), and Steak and Shrimp fajitas for my husband. Of course, we had the guacamole. It was really good. I like my guacamole a little chunky, as opposed to looking like something akin to mashed potatoes, and El Pulpo’s guacamole was perfect.

This place is a gem! The menu is extensive, with delicious authentic Mexican specialties. Our favorite are the Camarones cucarachas, which you should not miss! We also love the huaraches, tacos, and seafood tostadas. It’s a lovely spot for a family meal. The staff is friendly and helpful, too.
