Don’t be fooled by the name of this restaurant, it is actually a luxurious dining experience. The food is fantastic, looked great, tasted great and very filling. Top marks for the complimentary bread and their calamari is definitely a dish I would recommend. Couldn’t fault it. Everything well presented. The music was lovely and at the perfect volume, the staff friendly and welcoming. If I had to really critic something, it would be that my partner’s plate was collected before I had finished my food, but really with such an amazing food everything is forgiven.

Came here for a drink and ended up seeing the steaks being delivered to other tables and my boyfriend and I both agreed we had to have one and we are so glad we did!! We’ve been to some of the best steakhouses around and Bobby Van’s is now our favorite! The Sirloin was seasoned to perfection and melted in my mouth! The ambiance was lovely as well, I really enjoyed sitting at the bar and facing the window to enjoy the NYC scenery and people watching of course. The bartender Tez took great care of us and makes a fine bloody Mary. We had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Josh, as well and he made us feel extremely welcome and appreciated. I’m a fan for life and will definitely be back on our future NYC trips!

Honestly the best ribeye and French onion soup have had here in the city. Absolutely mouth watering. Staff waiter and the stunning bartender were quick, funny and very attentive. 100% would recommend to anyone and everyone who loves a great steak and definitely going back!

The food is high quality and so is the service. There are plenty of steak restaurants in the city, but Bobby Van’s is always consistent with their quality and service. If you have a large party, I would recommend the seafood platter. The peppercorn crusted filet is just phenomenal.

First visit and it was a very positive experience. Outside seating is comfortable albeit a bit noisy, but service was very friendly. Strip steak was cooked nicely and sides were good as well. Would return.

Fantastic food in a quiet atmosphere. Good service. Prices are a bit higher than most places but then again, there are no peanut shells on the floor, no drunken and boisterous person hollering out watching a ballgame and the food was prepared by a chef and not a line cook that their last job was at McDonalds. Great presentation of the food brought to the table.

Food was cold. That was the main course and sides. Took forever in a half empty restaurant. I ate 40 minutes after my family. The manager was rude and would not provide his name, so I took a picture of him, while he was flailing around. I caution everyone to vote NO on this restaurant. Your health is important. Frankly, The NYC health department needs to summons them for poor food handling. I plan on reporting them. Funny thing, I did not see a health certificate displayed. I wonder why. Perhaps my error or !!!!
