I was in town looking for something to eat and among the many Mexican restaurants is El Gran Taco Loco. The building stood out from the rest and I’m happy I stopped in to give them a try. I eat tacos everywhere I go and the tacos here are excellent . The agua fresca are very good also. I had the Melon and Limonada. For food I went with the Quesabirria which comes loaded with cheese and is paired with a delicious dipping sauce. For the tacos I had to go with the Al Pastor. Served with a Jalapeno for that extra kick! I’ll be back next time I’m down in Homestead.

Al Pastor is supposed to be shaved meat off the spinning roaster, instead I got chunks of pan fried tasteless salty meat. And the smell outside is awful! It’s probably best to skip this place, it looks better than what’s served. Even the lime slice was dry so I couldn’t drizzle it on the “al pastor” torta.

Our favorite taco spot closes so early and we went on a hunt for tacos. And thank goodness we found El Gran Taco Loco…everything was delicious! Not only was the food delicious but the service was awesome. The young lady that was attending to us was quick and attentive and very polite! The food came out quickly too! Such a wonderful experience! I think we may have a new fave!!

The restaurant was clean as were the bathrooms. It has a salsa bar in the sitting area which was maintained well. The red salsa was the hottest, which also had a smooth smoky flavor. I would recommend this if you like a spicy sauce. The food had good flavor and generous portions for the price you pay. I would definitely eat here again.

Services unbelievable, atmosphere wonderful nice and bright when your windows. And the food, you actually have to try to believe if you love Mexican. They capture the peace of Mexico and bought it here. They accept service animals, the coolest thing ever you order it on the outside and you dying on the inside. They also have an outside dining area small but effective. You can look at the pictures but you can’t taste it’s really going on here. Only one way go down and see for yourself. Then come back and confirm but I just said.
