Food was good and hearty and oxtails were great. But the chicken was a little dry. Was happy for indoor dining, but the seating configuration was odd, and the tall, narrow metal chairs were very uncomfortable. The trash can was outside, and the young male cashier had no personality or even the slightest smile. I will return though, just in and out for the oxtails.

Food was extremely yummy. Being from NY, I have had some of the best Jamaican food there is. Oxtails are my favorite dish (regardless of the version – Cuban, Jamaican, etc) and this restaurant’s are at the top of my list for best flavor AND texture. Dumplings were also fantastic.

Recently visited from Canada with my wife, I’m from a Jamaican family and she was born and raised on the island, we both were impressed. Food was well seasoned and prepared well, a touch pricey but portions were very generous. Comparable to the best places I’ve had in Toronto, NY, and Florida. Would definitely visit again if I’m in LA!

Oh my God!!! This food is EXCELLENT! I love, love, love Jamaican food, and yes, haters, I’ve been to Jamaica and eaten locally many times. This is hands down the best Jamaican in the area, and if I’m wrong, let me know, I’d love to see for myself. All the people there are super cool, and you can feel the family atmosphere. The oxtails were super legit, too, and the beans and rice… damn!!!! I shouldn’t have gone there because now I need to go a LOT!!!

First of all let me say give thanks and praises for you all having the courage to open a business during inflation. Secondly I noticed that my food came out the back(Ackee/saltfish/callaloo), not sure if thats because my items were made different but as a RASTAFARI womBman give thanks for that! True even though I order the fish, it is highly important my food is not exposed to meat and such. As an ital person the seasoning was irie, not salty at all but still full a spice same way. True I very particular when it comes to eating out and was skeptical about this place….not anymore! As long as they cook this way I support them. As far as the service, I see no problem at all as it was very much similar to service overseas – straight up to the point, . Vybz was very much like you step outta America and into a little slice of yaad. Give thanks again truly, I pray Jah Rastafari continues to bless your business. Bless

I enjoyed the small brown stew chicken plate with more cabbage than rice and a veggie pattie! Quality and freshness of food were excellent! I wanted some callalu–dark greens, but they’re only cooked to order, and I was in a hurry to just grab n go, so I look forward to next time…! No photos to show because I gobbled the evidence

Listen, I’ve had Jamaican food from all over LA. I’m a fat guy so I know a good Jamaican patty, and this place has some of the best beef, jerk chicken and veggie patties around. It’s worth a 45 minute drive just for those. But the plates are just as excellent. Oxtail with extra gravy over the rice, yes please. Plantains and fried dumplings, bring it on. Don’t fool around, go here, your stomach and soul will thank you.
