At our Jonesboro, AR location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Got some mystery object burned into the coating of my fish, the shrimp were under cooked and stuck together in a sort of shrimp dough log, the okra was literally dripping with grease and the fries were limp & under cooked. On top of all that, I asked the cashier for tartar sauce and told him no thank you on the cocktail sauce. I received 3 cocktail sauces and no tartar sauce. I spent almost $20 on that meal, which is pretty over priced for a single meal and drink. I feel like I was robbed.

This is fast food. I would go here again. My mom and I enjoyed the food. It was better than we expected. The workers kind of acted like we should know what we wanted or needed without them asking or suggesting things. It was our first time ever in a Captain Ds so we would have welcomed some suggestions. It wasn’t dirty but it could have been cleaner in there. I recommend this place if you want some fried fish for a quick meal.

Never Prepared Enough
Went in last night for a “quick meal” ended up waiting over 30 minutes for a hohum meal of greasy fish and chicken. The cost of 60 for 3 people was definitely not worth our time. Definitely do not recommend and will not be back

You’re not going to find authentic fish and chips in the Jonesboro area, at least not yet, but Captain D’s does fill in nicely for such a meal. The batter dipped fish is a nice change from the cornmeal breaded fish you will find at most restaurants offering fried fish around here. There are variations of that cornmeal coated fish at Captain D’s too. The drive-thru and receiving your order can be a little slow but overall not a bad spot for some seafood.

I was really disappointed, tonight. Normally, I get good, fresh food, here, but not tonight. The young man at the drive thru was more concerned with laughing with his coworkers than getting my order correct. At first, he handed me my food without asking for a single condiment. I then asked him for butter for my baked potato and cocktail sauce. When I got home, there was no cocktail sauce, no butter for the dry potato and no eating utensils. The crab was overcooked, as was the shrimp. For almost $20.00, I expect better. I’m SO disappointed.

$25 on dinner and it’s mediocre. Understand the truck didnt come in. Not the company’s fault. However its ways to accommodate your customers. My sandwich only had 1 piece of fish broken in half. I’ll rather be told upfront before i pay for something i didn’t receive.

My wife and I both ate there yesterday and we both got vomiting sick! The clerk was rude while ordering and acted like I was wasting her time! Captain D’S is not what it used to be! I was disappointed in the atmosphere the service and the food (fish) seemed like it was yesterdays’ leftovers out of the trash can! I knew it seemed bad and old but I assumed it was my imagination! We both found out later the food was amiss!

Nearly disgusting had the fish not been fresh. Lady taking my order, RUDE! 18 bucks for a low tier fish restaurant? Price is more than the quality of food. Doubt I return. 3.50 for a med drink? Get out of here.
