Wow!! What a place to sit and have a fabulous meal.. and a good wine selection to serve!! I love this place and recommend it to my local friends. Best meal in town!! And what a great date night as well. Fresh oysters on the half shell.. best soup and best bread and butter too. Make a reservation or get here early..

When great taste meets an amazing atmosphere of Art Deco and a Parisian bistro

This is not really a French restaurant. Rather, it is a local haunt using French preparations on a range of dishes, especially Eastern European. Dishes are a bit hit or miss – the pork chop is fabulous, though. Service was great. And the atmosphere is eclectic – somewhat Bohemian chic.

Took my mother here for her birthday. I have been meaning to try this place, since I’ve only heard excellent reviews, and I will admit, the food is exceptional. There is a level of refinement and restraint that is shown in the cuisine, along with an attention to the quality of the ingredients, that you see in European continental cuisine. I cannot fault any of the food or the dishes, the drinks we had (a classic cocktail, a contemporary cocktail, a glass of wine) were excellent as well. Its lovely to see something like a Picon Punch on the menu. Service is friendly, yet professional, fairly attentive, and the atmosphere has an Art Deco feel combined with Parisian bistro. Reminds me of La Bourse et La Vie in Paris.

Charming little place in an old building in downtown Auburn. French cuisine with an Eastern European twist. The pumpkin dip was surprisingly amazing. The cheese fondue is okay but nothing to write how about. It was still fun and a nice presentation. Loved the mussels and the half chicken. Excellent cocktails. Our server was great and made suggestions. During cold weather I’d suggest trying to get a table far in the back to avoid the cold draft when whenever the door opens. A little pricey but for the overall quality, atmosphere and service, worth a visit.

Excellent service, our waiter was knowledgeable about the food offerings, made great suggestions and took great care of us. This place is so charming, our hostess was the lovely young daughter of the owners, what a pleasure to see such a wholesome and beautiful young lady. We had oysters and the corn soup, WOW! Delicious . Our entrees and desserts that followed were just as great. Would come back again and again!

Fantastic, higher-end food with great service and some of, it not the best, cocktails in placer county. Quality liquors are used and they’re fairly priced for what you get. Every cocktail we had was fantastic. The Sazerac with cacao nib is exceptional, one of the best renditions I’ve ever had.
