Well. We came here for chase dinning. Great cozy outdoor dining set up. We came here for early Sunday dinner and there were gardeners landscaping the neighboring hotel the whole time. Unfortunately it was very noisy and no relaxation. Food was little better than average. I may not come back again.

A restaurant with character and charm. The food was delicious and the staff were kind and attentive. There are multiple seating areas, we had a table for two upstairs. It gets very busy on a Saturday evening so I suggest making a reservation.

good old school italian food, friendly service. I love old charming buildings and this restaurant is unique. But it is on the cusp of being considered ruined down. Time for the maintenance upgrades to keep its charm and not look like it fallen into disrepair.

Quaint place with a lot of history. Menu unimaginative with limited menu. Took a while for me to decide because the menu is just boring. I’ll cut to the chase. My order was wrong and my guests order was so over done it was barely edible. The staff is overworked and the place is poorly managed. Menu says in 3 places no substitutions not even a different type of pasta then the ones listed with the meals Skip this place . Trust me. One star is a gift.

I was unfortunate enough to dine at Il Fresco a few days ago. The experience began with entering and being seated in the dining room. The smell of dampness and mold was unbearable. We asked to eat outside and we’re moved immediately. The service was fair as we ordered beverages. I ordered a glass of the Baby Amarone for myself. The wine I was served had turned and was not consumable. I sent it back and the waiter returned with an unopened bottle that he opened at the table. I must say it was much better. Our dinner included the eggplant rollatini which was served with a burnt tomato sauce. I asked for veal milanese and was told they did not have it. I had to explain to the waiter that the veal parmigiana was the same sans the tomato sauce and cheese. His response was oh. When I received my meal it was cooked perfectly but to my disappointment the veal was tough, gray and of a pour quality. To add insult to injury when the bill arrived there were three Andes Chocolate mints served with it. I took them home and opened them this evening. All three were stale. Needless to say I will never return even though I have had several delightful lunches there in years past. As far as the star rating 1 star is really being kind. Besides the stench on the inside the outside was poorly maintained with rotting wood around the windows and rotting facia along the roof line being covered with chicken wire.

Steamed classclams with a stew sauce was presented in a soupy transparent oily liquid with a strong flavor of nothing but oregano. I had the special, the (large) tortellini buried under burned mozzarella with 3 pieces of tortellini and 4 small pieces of burned sausage and 3 thumb size pieces of chicken. Topped with burnt mozzarella. VERY DISAPPOINTING and l paid too much for pizzeria like food. Next my partner had fried calamari lacking in a coating and tasting undercooked and flavorless. Entre’es was strips of chicken which was dry, and so highly seasoned with oregano that you could smell it . Large amounts of potatoes added nothing to the taste of the dish besides oregano. Rigatoni with pormadoro had 2 whole tomatoes with large slices of onions suitable for a hotdog. And extraordinary amounts of oregano. Gelato and Tartufo contained ice pieces and zero flavor which was a relief from everything tasting like oregano. I WILL NEVER COME BACK. YOU NEED A GOOD ITALIAN CHEF and some ITALIAN WAITERS. So long Il Fresco

Fantastic restaurant. With tons of ambiance and charm. Decorated beautifully and service was impeccable. Between the vast regular menu and page long specials there is something for everyone. Tremendous wine and alcohol list with which to choose. Highly recommend.
