If I have a hankering for a delicious ice cream concoction then Leatherby’s is the place. Dare I say best in Utah? First we had cheese fries, they came out piping hot and they don’t use some sort of fake cheese which I love, Big portions of fry sauce with it. We also had Celeste’s Cookie Concoction and Amy’s Hot Fudge Brownie. It comes out just like the pictures and yes they are messy and large portions but oh are they good. We probably should have just shared but, no way! I was getting my own.

Loud. Lots of very happy eating people. Then we walked in. Seated right away. Ordered dessert. Huge sunday to share. Strawberry was the best. Chocolate hot fudge better. We did find the bananas under all the ice cream.

Leatherby’s is my family’s ice cream parlor of choice for years. Their selections are varied and lately they’ve started adding creative new seasonal sundaes to the menu. The peach cobbler sundae (peach ice cream, whipped cream, and cinnamon served atop a piece of warm peach cobbler) was easily one of my favorite sundaes I’ve had here. Make sure to enjoy a basket of fries with their excellent fry sauce for a salty accompaniment to a sweet time.

The actual meal was fine. Not like oh my gosh this was so good! But let’s be real, “the food” is actually ice cream and that’s fantastic! Service is what was expected but not exceptional. Be prepared to spend serious money if you get dinner and ice cream. Or plan on sharing the ice cream at least. They are plenty big enough for sharing… my family of five could share one easy. Family friendly atmosphere. I would go again and recommend it to friends.
