Wally’s serves Rhode Islands most famous hot dog Saugy’s! Saugy’s have been a family owned and operated business since 1869 using a secret family recipe brought over from Germany in the late 1800’s. Wally’s is named after our beloved golden doodle Wally. We started to have success in 2019 with large scale events that allowed us to grow the cart business, frequently visiting many of Rhode Islands breweries and being a part of local and statewide events. We always knew we wanted to move in to a brick and mortar location and Wally’s Wieners was born!
We are located at 464 Thames St. in beautiful Newport Rhode Island right in the heart of the Lower Thames district.

such good chili cheese dogs !!! only thing i’d change is regular cheese instead of nacho, but who knows that could be an option, everything 12/10!!!! They have so many martini options as well, super super good! Definitely recommend

Great Wiener place with a full bar. Nice bartender. I had the Wally Wiener it was really good, a Bacardi and diet, which was a little weak, that’s why I took a star away. The place has an upstairs too, so it is bigger than you would think. Lots of entertaining pictures on the walls. Restroom was clean

This place was cute and service was quick. My kid loved the onion rings. I got the vegan dog and later realized it doesn’t come in a vegan bun (the martins potato rolls have dairy). Kind of a big oversight.

My wife and I were looking to have a drink and stumbled across Wally’s. When we walked in, the place was jammed; someone from behind the counter told us the upstairs was open. Upstairs is a whole different decor, but an awesome time. We planned on having one drink, but our bartender Jimmy was so entertaining and enthusiastic we had to stay! Thank you Jimmy for the awesome afternoon and the best espresso martinis!!!
