We went for a Mother’s Day brunch. The food was absolutely outstanding. We liked that there was live entertainment. The chef accommodated special dietary needs quite nicely. The manager was attentive. He checked on us several times. The waitress was so sweet. It was her first day. Management! You really broke her in on one of the busiest days. Sadly, I left my favorite lip gloss on the table. Though this establishment is not for the budget conscious, I would definitely return.

I went to water view and was greatly disappointed. The waitress was very nice and the atmosphere is great; however I had to send my drinks back. They were absolutely terrible. Also the food was horrible. It was beyond tasteless and dry. I’ve had better food at Applebees. It was the worst money I’ve spent all summer. When visiting Long Island this restaurant was recommended to me by a family friend, lovely atmosphere and wonderful service, from our waiter Anthony. I was at Waterview Restaurant on Father’s Day with my family. Host was unpleasant and unwelcoming. It took over one hour for a server to take our drink orders. Every employee ignored our table every time we tried to get someone’s attention. Finally, a server came to our table to take our orders she was extremely rude and unpleasant. Then it took another two hours for our food, no one checked in on our table or kept us informed on why our food took forever. The food was cold, with small portions and bland. Ambiance 10/10.

Was there this past Sunday. I thought there would be like the nautical mile was before Braccos destroyed it. Not to be, drinks were good but lame rock bands followed by Spotify music. Was a convention of fat, middle aged, cigar chomping wannabes. Place needs a DJ AND A GOOD 40s and upmature , behaved crowd to seperate it from the hip hop / ragge cookie cutter crowds up the street. Small wonder places like the Boatyard. Crème this place on the weekends. A dock master would help also

I’ve known this place as Tropix and now Bay View. Great appealing atmosphere for a relaxing summer afternoon hand out. Security is super strict. Huge bar with lots of seats and tvs. Bathrooms are always clean. The food is why 3 stars were given. It is basically ‘fancy’ bar food. While it did definitely improve from tropix there still is room for flavorful food. Many of the entrees especially apps are bland perhaps adding more seasoning would help. The Moscow mules are excellent. I would recommend as a chill hang out spot on the mile and maybe order sushi which was the tastiest of all the apps we ordered.

Food is nothing spectacular, just your average menu. Tropix is really crowded and loud on the weekend nights. A few fights and one huge brawl in one night that spilled out into the streets happened here so just be very careful if this isn’t your crowd. It feels just like jersey shore here, especially the patrons. Very visually attractive strip, however.
