Such a great gem! At our table we ordered the Crispy Avocado as well as the Chicken Tinga tacos (pictured), the beef brisket quesadilla, and a side order of fries. All are recommended! Great portion sizes for the price, and great service. Will come again!

My family and I decided to try this place on a whim, as it was on our route home from flag football at approx 2:00 on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The staff greeted us upon arrival, sat us at a table quickly & took our drink/appetizer order within minutes. We started with the nachos appetizer and margaritas. The kids ordered lemonade and chips & salsa. Did you know they have homemade chips made daily!?! They were amazing and the portions were a great size, especially for the price. My husband and I ordered a variety of tacos, most were $6.50. They were fresh, filling and flavorful! The kids ordered steak tacos (minus all the toppings and tortillas- so basically a bowl of steak) & it was all three showing their approval via a thumbs up. For a family of 5 to dine out with drinks, appetizers, and meals for $120.00 (including $20 (tip)) was a delightful experience. We can’t wait to go back! Sorry we forgot to take photos….

EXCELLENT libations – how often does one see caipirinha on the menu?!?! – as well as mezcal tequila! Drinks were delicious and large enough to last the entire meal in large drinking jars; YUM!

Eataco is a great downtown Northbrook Mexican restaurant located right on the corner of Shermer and Meadow road. I came across here, right after going to my favorite dentist on a nice sunny afternoon. They have a pretty nice outdoor seating area and people-watching is great as you sip on some margarita and tacos. I went with the following:

The Brussels sprout tacos are the best I’ve ever had. The way they are cooked is perfect with a nice crispy outer edge. I never had Brussels sprouts before that and now am obsessed with trying to cook them the same way they make them here.
