Went to Stan’s for the first time on Sunday. Got the 3 taco combo and it was DELISH! It’s a bit pricey, but I’m willing to fork over the extra cash for some premium quality south of the border entrees on occasion. I will definitely be back. The presentation is great too! Nice work!

The food was below mediocre, no flavor nothing drawing us in to wanna keep eating. The tortillas were soggy and not even warm with our food. The food is either super watery or dry. Definitely not a Mexican food and flavors place. But like I guess it doesn’t matter when you’re drunk and everything taste the same.

First time at a Stan’s Tacos in downtown Grand Rapids across the street from the Van Andel Arena. Kailey was our hostess/bartender/waitress. She did an outstanding job. She was talkative and made suggestions. She made great conversation from anywhere from being in school, at Grand valley, my daughter was sitting next to me is a Cornerstone student. To anime movies, and downtown housing. It was not very busy, in fact there was only one other table, so it was very nice to have a casual conversation that she was working to take care of both tables and front of house. Very pleasant wasn’t pushy at all which we like in a waitress. We only ended up having the queso, salsa and chips and drinks. We were going to order lunch, but we decided to road trip it out of town. We will definitely be back after an event to go back and try the tacos and the burritos. The atmosphere was very warming, friendly, and inviting! We will be back. See pics

Unfortunately the rice was dry, and the portion shockingly small. Our entree came out even faster than our chips, strange. TVs were not working during a Lions game, sad. Perhaps I’m spoiled by authentic tacos but these tacos were just okay. Service excellent, chips excellent, fish taco excellent. Location excellent.

I’m going to start out by saying that my first experience with the Grand Rapids Stan’s tacos was far from what I wanted or expected. However, the owner contacted me and asked me about my experience. I explained to him why I had given the place a 2 star review and he asked that I give them another shot. The food as well as the service was absolutely amazing! I had a blackberry margarita as well and when they say they are known for thier margaritas, they mean it. So good! Can’t wait to be back. Highly recommend checking this place out, especially after getting paid.

So, I ordered the Baja Bowl… received the bowl and it looked just like the picture. Nice! Very tasty, waitress was nice nice and attentive. The beef was not hot(temp) and I was disappointed chips and salsa were not complimentary as I expect from most Mexican dinning establishments. Otherwise, all was well.

Had Stan’s Tacos for dinner. It was quiet inside when I got there so that had me wondering if the food was good or not. Well, let me tell you. The food was amazing and Sophie (working behind the bar) was awesome. She explained the menu, specials and Happy Hour with no hesitation and no stumbling for words. I texted the Baja Bowl and chips with Queso. When the food arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at the presentation and delicious aroma of the plate. If you haven’t been here yet, I highly suggest you go. And ask for Sophie, you won’t be disappointed. And make sure you make of for Happy Hour, definitely worth it.
