I have lived in the area for a while, but just tried Pelicanos for the first time the other day. I really enjoyed the food. We just got a couple of pizzas, but they were both very good. There was nothing fancy about the pizza, but it hits the spot if you are looking for a standard, take-out pizza. The sauce and crust were both very good and made it stand above some other places.

Tried this place for the first time last night, because our usual pizza place has really been striking out lately. I was impressed with the whole experience! A super polite and friendly person took my order and food arrived in less time than they said it would. The pizza was really tasty and great crust. Flavorful and delicious chicken and jojo potatoes. It was also really affordable. A four piece chicken, potatoes and slaw was $12. We were able to get that + 2 small specialty pizzas for under $50 bucks with delivery. We will definitely be ordering again.

pizza was premium price but was average quality. i might not be a sophisticated foodie but ive had pizza in many states and this place was worse than a bargain place i have been to. thought it would be a local mom and pop place but they price their pizzas on par with giordanos. service was horrible. told me 45 minute wait for my pizza and then the guy had a weird nonverbal tone to the way he handed me my change when i paid for my pizza. and i was polite so whqt does that say about this guy? could have been an off day who knows.

I wish this was better cause we live walking distance and would love for the convenience factor… but man, this pizza is so expensive and so so bland. No sauce, no flavor, too much cheese (not in a good greasy melty way, just like a crumbly thick dry layer), thick flavorless doughy crust. It functions as a pizza but that’s about the best you can say. We’ll drive the extra 5-10 minutes to go elsewhere next time.
