Really cool neighborhood spot, think a much cooler cheers. Customers were ebjoying themselves, staff was really friendly and made us feel at home. Had calamari and crab Rangoon for appetizers, both were really good. The Aloha roll turned out to be my favorite, really fresh and flavorful. The painkiller cocktail was like a coconut spritzer, light and refreshing. The bill was the best part, ate great for under $100. Will make it a date night staple for sure.

I come here often when I work late because it very close to my home and offers really good food . At a decent price . However , I order for my family so my ticket is pretty high . Today I stopped in tonight after work . My order was repeated to me , I paid , and waited for it to be done. As I can never get any one the phone to order that way instead . This man repeated my order jus to not get the order correct. I get home and notice things aren’t correct all the way around. However after spending 60 plus bucks and spending 20 mins waiting on the food . In what world am I going to go back and have them fix it. I jus don’t understand what happened to caring about people food and the way they are served . Especially when things are super expensive these days . This experience did not sit well with me at all as a frequent customer I’m baffled and how they got it so wrong today.

Angie was a great waitress/bartender and really made our dinning experience wonderful. She helped my wife choose a delicious sake and the sushi specialty rolls were awesome! Really enjoyed the decor and painting of the black cat logo. As a child, teenager, and college student I got into much mischief with black cat fireworks and bottle rockets! Not to sound corny but Bottle Rocket Sushi gives your taste buds a bang without blowing up your wallet.

I’m sorry to rain on the owner’s parade here, especially with so many raving reviews. I really wanted to like the place. It was even more disappointing since I brought an out of town friend whom I talked into going for some really great and creative sushi, as they were tagged everywhere. Well, to say it was disappointment is an understatement. Ok, granted that I’m a little biased here given the fact that I’ve ran quite a few restaurants before and know how the sushi rice ought to be cooked and what fresh salmon looks and feels like. Still, I can say for sure that the night we ordered everything must’ve gone wrong at Bottle Rocket’s kitchen.
