The food may not be poison but the service was. The greeting was rude on the part of the order taker until she became downright argumentative about whether sesame chicken had been spoken of as opposed to General Tso’s chicken. She then argued about an egg roll that I didn’t want. After payt of $35.00, she refused to let me order additional bottled water because additional water didn’t meet the $10.00 minimum cc limit. I then realized I pitched the plastic top for my food container & asked for a new top only so I could take it to go. She shouted ‘I already gave you one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’ She slammed the plastic top. The whole experience was pure poison.

Update: enjoyed the food so much over the weekend, we tried it again tonight and it was just not fresh or good! We ordered 50 wings, shrimp fried rice, lomein, and egg rolls! The wings had no flavor even though it should have been hot, teriyaki, and honey. The egg rolls smelled spoiled and the meat inside was undercooked. The rice and lomein were hard and flavorless. $100 wasted. Definitely won’t return.

Food was served in large portions. Very reasonably priced. Good selection. Also, they realized after the fact they accidentally charged me twice for an item. I didn’t even realize it. But they went out of their way to chase me down to make sure they refunded me the difference. Not many people are honest like that anymore.

This is my first time here and it’s definitely good. The egg rolls are amazing as well as the food. I’ve tried a few Chinese restaurants around town and I’ve been very disappointed in them but not here. Definitely gonna be coming back here again.

I wanted to give a 4.5 star but as I’ve never eaten inside, it’s been all delivery/take out that’s what im rating. I’ve read the reviews, I have to say this was not my exp. Originally Chens, I ate there maybe 3 times in 5 years. With Friends I’ve eaten their 3 times in 2 months. Perfect portions, & I love to eat. Eggfoo, cooked perfect, rice fresh, Eggroll tender & crunchy. Pepper steak really nicely cooked. Lots of veggies. Several different chicken dishes, all very very good. No extra msg. Digests well. Always have next day leftovers. I’ve eaten Chinese up & down the east coast. This is good food, fairly priced good portions. In no way in my exp was this even close to being mediocre. Great packing. Nothing ever missing. For me, it’s a go to on those what do we eat nights. Don’t over look them.

First time visiting Friends House but it won’t be the last. The food was fast and absolutely delicious! Don’t be afraid to try the wings, they are surprisingly good!

New Chinese restaurant in Lexington! The Hot and Sour soup was amazing! It is the perfect and most convenient spot for me to grab lunch while I’m at work. I will definitely be coming back soon!

The food just wasn’t very good… It was flavorless. Also they do not put fortune cookies and utensils/napkins in the bag… this was takeout also the meal came with rice white or fried but they charge a $3 fee to get pork fried rice for a couple of very small pieces of pork in the rice…. Not impressed don’t waste your money!!

Very poor takeout experience. The House Lo Mein we ordered was very dry and waxy, by their consistency the noodles themselves seemed overcooked. I had a combo plate of General Tso’s chicken with steamed rice, the steamed rice was very dry, not fresh and sticky, like it had been cooked hours ago and left out. As for the chicken it was fine, decently sized chunks of reasonably flavored pan fried chicken. It also came with an egg roll, it was also just fine, nothing exceptional. My mother got egg drop soup which she wasn’t very happy with, no specifics to share there.

My husband was craving Chinese food and this met the mark and surpassed our expectations. Portions are great, price is great. And the food is the best Chinese food we’ve had since we moved to Lexington. 11/10 ❤️
