I was pleasantly surprised at the food at this vegan restaurant. The menu is limited but the quality of the food is superb. They make the food fresh to order so there is a bit of a wait but trust me, it is worth it. Even meat eaters will like the food. Try the oyster mushroom shawarma…yummy! There is a kiosk where you place your order and pay. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and there is plenty of parking. The interior of the restaurant is clean but the seating is limited. There are three tables and a small high top area seating for four. There is some exterior seating if you want to dine outside.

Shouk is so good that I had to try their food again at another location. The quality of the food is very consistent, and I preferred the overall experience at this location more than the location on K street in DC. The food is ready quickly, and it’s so delicious. I recommend the shouk burger and getting the schug sauce to add on to it. Their best side is certainly the hummus with pita. Make sure to add on another piece of pita, though, because they only give one piece along with a fairly large container of hummus. If you don’t pay for extra pita, expect to have a lot of hummus left over for later.

The food was tasty, especially with the additional sauces. I particularly liked the baba ganoush. It is not on the cheaper on end all-in-all but worth a try particularly for those who are vegan or vegetarian.

Nice vibe, and great fast vegan food. The grilled oyster mushroom shawarma pita was delicious, very flavorful but just very salty and saucy, I couldn’t tell what was going on with the sauce and it felt a little grainy.

Food was delicious – I got the mushroom bowl, half salad, half rice and lentils, with the jalapeno sauce. Yummy yummy! I didn’t hang out in the place for too long as I ordered online and just picked up, but it looked cute (although limited seating.)

Good food but small portions. Got the sausage pita and it was way smaller than the box it came in. The sausage was not meat but some sort of possibly vegan sausage that was limp and like a tofu hotdog, severely lacking in flavor. The spiced fries were nice but also small in quantity. If you really want a great meal, go to Max’s in Wheaton
